Job Description

WRI Brazil is seeking a Junior Communication Analyst to support the Restaura Biomas Program, a project developed in partnership with Conservation International as an implementing agency of the Global Environment Facility (GEF). WRI Brazil acts as the executing agency, with the Ministry of Environment (MMA) as the governmental partner, contributing to the implementation of the National Policy for Native Vegetation Recovery (PROVEG). The program aims to meet the requirements and objectives aligned with WRI Brazil's strategy and the Restoration Union. The Restaura Biomas program is part of the Integrated Ecosystem Restoration Program, a global GEF initiative spanning 20 countries with over 200 million dollars allocated to ecological restoration. This role involves producing and supporting content for the GEF Project, including texts for websites and social media, researching relevant information, reviewing communication materials, producing video scripts, and proposing new content ideas.
Must have:
  • Produce and support text production for website, social media, communication products, releases, and press articles related to GEF Project themes.
  • Engage and articulate communication actions with different Project partner organizations.
  • Research, gather, and identify relevant information for content production.
  • Review texts and ensure the quality of published communication materials.
  • Produce scripts for institutional, project, and social media videos.
  • Propose new ideas for topics, videos, and communication products.
  • Support the execution of communication projects related to the GEF Project.
  • Monitor the progress of GEF Project communication actions.
  • Organize reports and presentations with numbers and metrics of project communication actions.
  • Collaborate on the Project's communication planning and strategy, and execute defined tactical plans.

Position: Junior Communication Analyst

Program/Department: Operations / GEF

The institute is looking for a professional to work as a Junior Communication Analyst to support the Restaura Biomas Program, a project developed in partnership with Conservation International as an implementing agency of the Global Environment Facility (GEF). The institute acts as the executing agency, while the Ministry of Environment (MMA) is the governmental partner, contributing to the implementation of the National Policy for Native Vegetation Recovery (PROVEG). The program aims to meet the requirements and objectives aligned with the institute's strategy and the Restoration Union.

The Restaura Biomas program is part of the Integrated Ecosystem Restoration Program, a global GEF initiative spanning 20 countries with over 200 million dollars allocated to ecological restoration.

This person will work in the Communication area, producing and supporting content related to the GEF Project, such as: producing texts for the website, social media, among others; researching, investigating, and identifying relevant information for content production; reviewing texts and ensuring the quality of published communication materials; producing scripts for institutional, project, and social media videos; proposing new ideas for topics, videos, and communication products, as well as performing other related and inherent activities to the position.

Main activities and/or responsibilities

  • Produce and support the production of texts for the website, social media, communication products, releases, and press articles related to the GEF Project themes;
  • Engage and articulate communication actions with different Project partner organizations;
  • Research, investigate, and identify relevant information for content production.
  • Review texts and ensure the quality of published communication materials.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Communication, including Journalism, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations or related fields;
  • Previous experience in the area;
  • Experience in content production and development of digital, print, and audiovisual materials;
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud tools (Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere) and Canva
  • Fluent English
  • Ability to transform ideas into products, managing timelines and available financial resources for work execution;
  • Proactivity, multitasking, ability to collaborate, and meeting deadlines;
  • Ability to review communication products in detail.
