Junior Design Engineer

Location: Basingstoke

Salary: Upwards of £28k

Working Arrangement: Onsite (Hybrid after 3 Months)

We have partnered up with an ace property team who are looking to bring on an Entry Level Design Engineer to join their in-house design team. Contributing to the creation, development, and execution of top-tier Student Accommodation, Hotels, and ******ial projects. you'll be at the forefront of leveraging the advant******s of our innovative offsite construction system crafted in our state-of-the-art production facility commutable from Winchester.

Collaborating within the development team, you'll be involved in every st****** of the project lifecycle, from conceptualisation to realisation, crafting prototype designs, devising test plans, compiling validation reports and generating manufacturing documentation. They are seeking an individual with a knack for autonomy, capable of spearheading work pack******s with confidence and proficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • CAD modelling defining Modular Products, incorporating input from architectural and construction design information to generate 3D CAD models and 2D drawings.
  • Generate layouts, item lists, and part drawings to facilitate procurement and manufacturing processes.
  • Create drawings and compile technical instructions to produce production packs for factory use.
  • Support the enhancement of in-house designs through idea ******, pack****** studies, layouts, and concept work.
  • Aid the development of additional manufacturing information such as floor layouts, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and cutting lists.
  • Develop test plans and compile validation reports.

Key Skills

  • CAD Pack******s Inventor (******) or Solidworks.
  • Proficiency in utilising Product Data Man******ment (PDM)/Product Lifecycle Man******ment (PLM) tools like Vault to uphold governance standards.
  • Application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to part drawings.
  • Experience producing manufacturing information and familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) techniques.
