GIANTS Software seeks a Junior Environment Artist (Generalist) in Brno, Czech Republic to contribute to their acclaimed Farming Simulator series. Responsibilities include creating high-poly and low-poly 3D models of plants, generating UV maps and textures using PBR workflows, and setting up materials for their proprietary engine. The ideal candidate possesses at least one year of game industry experience, strong Maya skills, and a keen eye for detail. Collaboration and proactive communication within a distributed team are crucial. Experience with Substance Designer/Painter or 3D Coat is a plus.
Must have:
  • 1+ year game industry experience

To strengthen our team of artists we are looking for an

Junior Environment Artist (Generalist)

based in Brno, Czech Republic.

As a part of a distributed team, it is necessary that the candidate is proactive and able to coordinate with other team members.

Job Responsibilities

  • Creation of highpoly and lowpoly models 
  • Creation of UV maps and textures for PBR
  • Setting up materials for a proprietary game engine

Qualifications

Expected Qualifications

  • At least 1 years in the game industry
  • Very good knowledge of Autodesk Maya
  • Ability to create realistic 3D models of plants and textures in AAA quality
  • Experience with foliage creation
  • Experience with PBR workflow
  • Attention to detail and precision
  • Good knowledge of English language
  • Excellent ability to work in a team
  • Self-reflection and ability to receive feedback

What would be a plus?

  • Art oriented education (3d art, design, art school)
  • Experience with Substance Designer / Painter or 3D Coat
  • Previous experience with production of assets for real-time simulators
