We are seeking a Junior Fashion Designer with a passion for high street and haute couture fashion and excellent attention to detail. The role involves researching trends, colours, and fabrics, creating mood boards, and designing ranges of clothing, bags, shoes, and accessories. Responsibilities include writing clear design briefs for 3D artists and collaborating with studio designers. The ideal candidate will have a creative flair, proficiency in design software like Photoshop and Illustrator, a good commercial eye for spotting trends, and the ability to tailor designs for global customers. Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are essential, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The candidate must have the right to work in the UK.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • In-depth knowledge of high street and haute couture fashion, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate initial concept ideas through freehand sketching.
  • Have a creative flair with the ability to think outside of what is possible in fashion.
  • A proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator or other similar software.
  • A good commercial eye, with the ability to spot current and future trends.
  • Understanding cultural differences and requirements, tailoring designs to appeal to global customers.
  • Passion and drive to thrive in a dynamic team.
  • Proficient in English, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • You must have the right to work in the UK before applying for this position.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research current, seasonal and future trends, colours and fabrics.
  • Working closely with studio designers, gathering relevant material to create mood boards for multiple virtual brands.
  • Designing ranges of items, including clothing, bags, shoes and accessories.
  • Write design briefs in a clear and concise way so our artists can recreate your items in 3D.

MAJOR PLUSES:

  • Degree in fashion or similar level qualification, or equivalent experience.
  • Have a varied portfolio of work across a number of disciplines.
  • Experience with 2d art and graphic design.
  • Experience with 3d software, eg. Maya, Blender, Marvellous Designer.
  • Experience using Unity3D.
  • Familiarity with an Agile based development processes.
  • A passion for games and technology.
