Dark Burn Creative, a division of Trailer Park Group (TPG), is one of gaming's most prominent and growing entertainment marketing agencies. We specialize in global content creation, trailers/promotions, and gameplay capture. We combine our creative storytelling expertise with large-scale production resources, uniquely positioning us to create, market, and distribute gaming content for our diverse client portfolio of top gaming development companies and major brands.

We are searching for a talented Freelance Junior Producer to join our innovative Game Capture team at Dark Burn Creative, a division of Trailer Park Group. 

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for the gaming industry, proven skills in content production, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing creative environment. This junior producer will oversee the production of more than 15 game titles at any given time. Every team member's mission is to grow our team of diverse and talented capture artists and technologists and continue to smash the boundaries of what makes a great video game trailer.

IMPORTANT CALL OUTS

- This role requires on-site work at our Woodland Hills, California, location. Only candidates within commutable distance of this location will be considered.
- We pay all freelance talent via W2 payroll.
- A love for all things video games is essential in this role.
- 1+ year experience producing trailers in the film/television/streaming industry or video games required.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manage day-to-day operations for Dark Burn creatives projects from concept/project kickoff through delivery.
  • Assist in developing content strategies and schedules for game capture.
  • Ensure optimal settings and quality for game recording and streaming.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to game capture.
  • Ensure all necessary assets, such as audio and graphics, are readily available for editing.
  • Work closely with content creators and video editors to coordinate content creation efforts.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure everyone is on the same page regarding project timelines and goals.
  • Review captured footage for any issues or imperfections and provide feedback to content creators.
  • Ensure videos meet quality standards, including resolution, frame rate, and audio quality.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new gaming technologies, and emerging platforms.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to the game capture process to enhance content quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed records of project progress, including schedules, milestones, and issues encountered.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of each game title, facilitating effective communication with clients.
  • Adapt to dynamic client demands, promptly communicating any capture or production-related issues to multiple team members.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., game design, multimedia production, or communications) or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 year's of experience producing trailers is required. Gameplay trailers are preferred.
  • Prior experience on set, preferably in-game capture and/or virtual production in high-performing and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong passion for video games and a good understanding of gaming culture.
  • Proficiency in game capture software and hardware is preferred.
  • Video editing skills (knowledge of software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc. is a plus).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.

COMPENSATION:

Please note that the below range is payable via day rate (not hourly).  Also note that all freelance work is paid via W2 payroll at Trailer Park Group.

Daily rate pay range for this position is below. If your requirements fall outside of the below pay range, we still encourage you to apply.
