Job Description

As a Junior Level Designer, you'll design and create engaging game levels. Collaborate with artists, programmers, and other designers to build immersive worlds. Key responsibilities include designing playable levels, developing level layouts and objectives, working with the art team on visual aspects, implementing designs using game engines, collaborating with programmers, iterating based on feedback, and ensuring level balance and optimization. You will need proficiency in level design tools and game engines, a strong understanding of game mechanics and player behavior, familiarity with scripting languages, and excellent problem-solving skills.

As a Level Designer, you will be responsible for designing and creating compelling and engaging levels for our games. You will work closely with artists, programmers, and other designers to craft immersive worlds that challenge, excite, and delight players.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and create playable levels that are fun, challenging, and innovative.
Develop level layouts, objectives, and player progression that ensure a smooth and engaging player experience.
Work with the art team to design the visual aspects of levels, ensuring environments are immersive and cohesive with the game’s art direction.
Implement level designs using game engines and proprietary tools.
Work with programmers to ensure that levels are functional and meet technical specifications.
Iterate on level designs based on playtesting feedback and metrics.
Collaborate with other departments (audio, animation, narrative) to ensure levels are cohesive and enhance the overall game experience.
Ensure levels are well-balanced, providing players with variety, challenge, and satisfaction.
Optimize levels for performance, ensuring smooth gameplay and minimal loading times.
Continuously innovate and come up with creative solutions to enhance the player's experience.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Fresh - 1 year experience
Experience designing levels for games
Proficiency in level design tools and game engines.
Strong understanding of game mechanics, player behavior, and flow.
Familiarity with scripting languages for level behavior and interaction.
Good understanding of game physics, AI, lighting, and optimization principles.
Ability to prototype and test levels effectively.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
