Job Description

As a Junior Motion Capture Specialist, you will be responsible for participating in all stages of motion capture recording, post-processing mocap data, collaborating with internal clients to organize mocap shoots, maintaining mocap studio hardware, and contributing to improving CD Projekt's motion capture pipeline. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment, with a focus on animation, programming, and audio-video applications. You will be working primarily from the Warsaw office, contributing to exciting projects within the company.
Must have:
  • 1 year of experience working with actors.
  • Ability to work with motion capture software.
  • Ability to work in Autodesk MotionBuilder.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn programming.
  • Organized and time-efficient approach.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Interest in motion capture technology.

Job Description

Our Mocap Team is expanding, and we're on the lookout for a versatile candidate to join us as a Junior Motion Capture Specialist! In this role, you'll delve into animation, programming, audio, video, and even a touch of carpentry. As part of our team, you'll contribute to preparing animations for all CD Projekt RED projects. Your Responsibilities

  • Participate in all stages of mocap recording.
  • Post-process mocap data - including solving, retargeting, and tracking.
  • Collaborate with internal clients to organize mocap shoots.
  • Maintain and monitor mocap studio hardware.
  • Actively contribute to improving CD Projekt's motion capture pipeline.

Qualifications

 

  • At least 1 year of experience working with actors on set.
  • Ability to work with at least one motion capture software: Shogun, Blade, or Motive.
  • Ability to work in Autodesk MotionBuilder.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Willingness and motivation to learn programming.
  • Organized and time-efficient approach to tasks.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Genuine interest in motion capture technology and innovation.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with motion capture recordings.
  • Python scripting skills.
  • Familiarity with game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity.

Working mode

Office-First: working primarily from the Warsaw office.
Relocation is required.
