The Junior Performance Coach will provide mental coaching, psychological guidance, and wellness practices to enhance players' performance and well-being. This role requires a psychology degree or relevant esports experience and proficiency in English. The position is on-site in São Paulo, Brazil, with occasional remote work.

The Opportunity:

Are you passionate about assisting players in their performance journey through mental coaching? Do you have a strong background in sports psychology or esports experience and want to make an impact on players' mental development? If so, you could be a perfect fit for the Junior Performance Coach, BR role we currently have in São Paulo, Brazil. This role will assist the performance team by providing foundational mental training, psychological guidance, and wellness practices to enhance players’ performance and gaming-life balance.

You’ll work under the guidance of senior performance staff to help players develop essential psychological skills and optimize their readiness while ensuring overall wellness. This is an on-site role with occasional remote work when teams are not on-site.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Conduct mental coaching sessions for players and teams using established protocols to enhance player performance.
  • Track player development by documenting session notes and performance metrics within 24 hours and conducting formal progress assessments.
  • Implement wellness protocols to promote player health, gaming-life balance, and mental resilience.
  • Provide preparation assistance by developing pre-game mental routines and post-game debriefs to improve learning and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with coaches, managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with performance goals.
  • Observe team dynamics, note communication patterns, and implement interventions to improve team cohesion and functioning.
  • Deliver presential and remote coaching sessions when necessary to ensure continuous player development.

What You'll Need:

  • Psychology Degree or relevant esports experience as a player or coach using high-performance practices.
  • Proficiency in English for effective communication across teams.
  • Ability to work self-directed and contribute to team efforts.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn from senior staff and apply new techniques.
  • Attention to detail and a structured approach to documenting player progress.

You'll Earn Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience with psychology best practices or a strong familiarity with performance needs as a former player or in a similar coaching role.
  • Expertise in coaching methodologies and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with international event logistics and best practices.
  • Strong ability to engage with cross-functional teams such as branding, marketing, and management.

This is a position with a PJ (Pessoa Jurídica) type of contract.
