Job Description
N-iX is seeking a Junior Power BI Engineer for a 1-1.5 year contract. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining interactive Power BI reports and dashboards, connecting to various data sources (SQL, Excel, APIs), creating DAX expressions for data analysis, building self-service BI reports, optimizing report performance, collaborating with business users, and ensuring data modeling efficiency. The ideal candidate possesses experience as a Power BI Engineer (6+ months commercial experience), understanding of DAX and data modeling, SQL and relational database (MS SQL) knowledge, Power Query experience, and ETL understanding. Excellent communication, analytical skills, and ability to manage large datasets are essential. Intermediate English proficiency and advanced Ukrainian language skills are required.

Job Details
N-iX is looking for a Junior Power BI Engineer to join our team for a period of 1-1.5 years.
Responsibilities and job specifics:
- Develop and maintain interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI.
- Connect to various data sources (SQL, Excel, API, etc.) and process data.
- Create DAX expressions for calculations and data analysis.
- Develop and implement self-service BI reports (dashboards) to work with and visualize data.
- Optimize report performance and data modeling.
- Collaborate with business users to define reporting requirements.
Required skills:
- Experience working as a Power BI Engineer (more than 6 month of commercial experience)
- Understanding of DAX and basic data modeling.
- Knowledge of SQL and working with relational databases (MS SQL)
- Experience with Power Query
- Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load)
- Good communication, analytical mindset and ability to work with large datasets.
- Intermediate level of English
- Ukrainian language Advanced or higher
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of Azure data products
- Knowledge of other BI platforms (Tableau, Qlik Sense).
