A Bit About Us

Gamemode One was founded 7 years ago to build innovative games and bring major IPs to the Minecraft Marketplace. We are scaling to develop a bold new independent game while continuing to prioritize staff well-being and an excellent working environment.

We care deeply about our vibrant company culture, which enables us all to do our best work. We are an established, fully self-funded studio with roots in Minecraft and ambitions to deliver experimental games for PC and console platforms. We are building a small, talent-dense team to develop an innovative exploration-adventure title.

The Opportunity

In our growing organization, you’ll brainstorm creative solutions to technical problems in the pre-production of our first independent game. You’ll write code that implements new features and you’ll fix bugs. You will ensure that the code you write is clean and easy to read. You will tune in parameters based on feel and feedback.

You’ll bring your knowledge of Unity, C# and source control. If unfamiliar, you will learn about non-mono behavior programming and Visual Studio’s debugging suite. You will leverage curiosity and courage while learning about the company and your impact. You will not just be working at a great company, but actively contributing to experimental development with a close-knit team.

Benefits

  • Flexible hybrid schedule
  • Charitable matching of $2000/year
  • Investment in professional development
