Job Description

This Junior QA Analyst role involves searching for, describing, and reproducing issues within the game. The responsibilities include reporting issues using dedicated software, debugging issues within the game engine using specialized tools, and closely collaborating with other departments to resolve problems. The analyst will also verify the expected state of the project at various production stages and assist with documentation. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, the ability to clearly communicate issues, and a willingness to learn and improve within a team environment. The company offers a key role in developing current and future projects, flexible working hours, and the possibility of remote work or working in the Bielsko-Biała office. Must have:

  • Ability to construct clear descriptions of problems.
  • General knowledge regarding work of other departments.
  • Regularity and self-discipline.
  • Ability to work in groups.
  • Eagerness to learn and self-improve.
  • Knowledge of English, spoken and written (min. B2).
Good to have:
  • Basic knowledge of Unreal Engine 5.
  • Experience on QA position within gamedev.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking software.

Job Details

We are Fool’s Theory, a company from Bielsko-Biała in Poland, creators of the game Seven: The Days Long Gone and The Thaumaturge.
We are actively seeking skilled individuals to join our team to work on a project developed in cooperation with CD PROJEKT RED.

 

Responsibilities

  • Searching for, describing and reproducing issues.
  • Reporting issues with the use of dedicated software.
  • Working in the engine and using dedicated tools in order to debug issues.
  • Close cooperation with other departments in order to successfully eliminate issues.
  • Verifying expected state of project at the given production stage.
  • Assisting with writing and updating documentation.

Requirements

  • Skills of analytic thinking and drawing conclusions.
  • The ability to efficiently construct thoughts as well as concise and understandable description of emerging problem.
  • General knowledge regarding work of other departments in the developer studio.
  • Regularity and self-discipline.
  • The ability to work in groups.
  • Eagerness to learn and self-improve.
  • Knowledge of English, spoken and written (min. B2).

Nice to have

  • Basic knowledge of Unreal Engine 5.
  • Experience on QA position within gamedev.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking software.
