Junior QA Tester

Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Remote (Canada)
Salary:  $38,000-$41,600/year

Start Date: ASAP

Lumeto’s immersive simulation lab, InvolveXR, aims to meaningfully reduce the social and financial cost of medical error. Flexible training in virtual simulated environments can improve the preparedness and confidence of clinicians globally. Lumeto operates across the healthcare spectrum, catering to educators and learners at every level of their competency, enhancing learning outcomes tied to individual and team decision-making, problem-solving, de-escalation and complex or rare procedures.

Lumeto is building the next generation of immersive training tools—and we need a detail-loving, bug-finding Junior QA Tester to help make sure everything we develop meets a high standard of quality. If you love digging into new features, spotting things that feel off, and making sure users have smooth, immersive experiences across VR, web, and desktop—this role is for you.

What you'll do:

  • Work directly with our Development Tester to understand how features are meant to behave, what needs testing, and where to focus.
  • Perform manual testing by running test plans and test runs to check features and find issues on VR, desktop, and web platforms.
  • Identify, reproduce, document, and track bugs clearly using tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Maintain and update test checklists or test cases as directed.
  • Verify fixes and assist in re-testing issues across different build versions.
  • Communicate test results and surface issues clearly, reliably, and in a timely manner.
  • Help ensure consistent test coverage for new features and major releases.
  • Stay organized and thorough—especially when testing under tight timelines or across multiple devices.
  • Apply your gaming instincts to identify issues that might affect immersion, flow, or the overall user experience.

Who you are:

  • Detail-driven and curious—someone who enjoys breaking things (in a good way).
  • Reliable and organized, with a clear communication style.
  • Basic familiarity with tools like Trello, Jira, or Confluence for tracking bugs and tasks..
  • Completed post-secondary education in Game Development, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous experience with/knowledge of playtesting is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle is a plus.
  • A background in gaming helps, especially for catching things that feel “off.”
