DataMatrix is a part of EveryMatrix platform that is responsible for collecting, storing, processing and utilizing hundreds of millions of transactions from the whole platform every single day. We develop Business Intelligent solutions, reports, 3rd party integrations, data streaming and other products for both external and internal use. The team consists of 35 people and is located in Lviv.

Junior Technical Writer

We are seeking a talented Technical Writer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our customers have access to accurate and easy-to-understand documentation. You will be responsible for the ongoing creation and maintenance of user manuals, guides, API documentation, and release notes, all aligned with our product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders and developers to reflect product changes in external documentation.
  • Prioritize and organize your workload to effectively manage new and existing documentation.
  • Research, design, and write clear and concise internal and external documentation, adhering to our company style guide.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of our products through interaction with technical teams and by reviewing existing documents.
  • Assist colleagues with reviewing a variety of written materials.
  • (Optional) Utilize your knowledge of databases to enhance documentation.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, English, Communications, Engineering, Computer Science, or Business (or a related discipline) is a plus.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle and software release management.
  • Experience with preparing product manuals, release notes, API documentation, etc.
  • Familiarity with technical concepts, particularly web services.
  • Proficiency in Jira and Confluence.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional research and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Work Life Balance:

  • 22 paid leave days and two extra paid leave days per year for every year up to 32 days (working days) in addition to the public holidays (11 days). Extra leave days for every extra year at the company – 43 days including public holidays by year 5 of employment.
  • 10 sick leave days per year (without a doctor’s note).
  • Medical leave: up to 30 days per year, documented with a medical certificate.
  • To support women candidates, we offer 21 weeks of maternity leave and 100% work from home until the child’s first birthday for mothers.
  • Men receive 4 weeks of paternity leave and can work from home until the child is 13 weeks old.
