Job Description

As a Key Account Executive in Google Cloud's Financial Services and Banking team, you'll be responsible for selling to strategic enterprise clients. You'll build and strengthen executive relationships, lead business cycles (including negotiating multi-year agreements), and develop account strategies for growth. This includes working cross-functionally, managing complex global accounts, and forecasting accurately. You'll need deep industry understanding and the ability to communicate the business value of Google's solutions to C-level executives, driving shareholder value and advocating for innovative products. The role involves managing all adoption-related activities and serving as the primary customer contact.
Must have:
  • 10+ years quota-carrying cloud/software sales experience
  • Enterprise account selling experience at C-level
  • Experience selling Cloud Solutions to Financial Services/Banking
  • Lead entire business cycles and negotiate terms
  • Develop account strategies and work cross-functionally
Good to have:
  • Experience selling Cloud Solutions, Infrastructure Software, Databases, Analytic Tools, or Applications Software
  • Experience supporting large enterprise organizations, growing existing customer base and acquiring new logos
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and partners
  • Experience with commercial and legal negotiations
  • Experience working with Customer Engineers and customers' technical leads

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with quota-carrying cloud or software sales, or account management at a Business-to-Business (B2B) software company.
  • Experience selling to enterprise accounts, selling a portfolio of products or solutions at the C-level.
  • Experience in selling Cloud Solutions to the Financial Services or Banking Industry.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience selling Cloud Solutions, Infrastructure Software, Databases, Analytic Tools, or Applications Software, and aligning solutions to drive business outcomes.
  • Experience supporting large enterprise organizations, growing existing customer base and acquiring new logos at scale, to increase spend and accelerate business consumption.
  • Experience working with, and leading, cross-functional teams and partners in implementations and negotiations.
  • Experience working with commercial and legal negotiations, and with Procurement, Legal, and Business teams.
  • Experience working with Customer Engineers and customers' technical leads to inventory software estate, define migration plans, and build migration business cases.
  • Experience cultivating C-level relationships and influencing executives.

As a Key Account Executive on the Financial Services and Banking team, you will serve as the executive selling to the most strategic enterprises in Google Cloud. You will leverage existing relationships with CEOs and C-level executives, develop new relationships with business unit leaders to understand their unique company challenges and to influence their perspective of Google solutions. You will do this with a deep industry understanding, communicating the business value of Google while driving shareholder value. Responsibilities

  • Build and deepen executive relationships with strategic customer base to influence their long-term technology and business decisions. Add value as a trusted advisor by bringing compelling insights and ideas with follow through execution.
  • Lead entire business cycles (i.e., presenting multi-year agreements to C-level executives), negotiate terms and manage associated legal and business risks.
  • Lead account strategy to develop business growth opportunities, work cross-functionally with multiple teams and Google Partners, to maximize business impact within enterprise customers.
  • Run and manage complex global accounts with multiple opportunities across different functions with forecast and budgetary accuracy, and serve as the primary customer contact for all adoption-related activities.
