About the role:
The Lab Sample Coordinator Intern manages the pharmacokinetic and all other biological samples including blood, urine, tissue biopsies sample logistics for our clinical studies, to facilitate acquisition of translational data from our early-phase clinical study to shape forward looking clinical development.
In particular, you will:
- Serve as the primary internal liaison for the operational tracking of biological samples. Collaborate with a matrixed cross-functional team (sponsor, site, lab, clinical) to ensure optimal sample management, crucial for achieving key translational milestones in direct clinical development.
- Oversee Central Lab shipping of lab kits to the investigator sites to ensure that the sites are equipped for proper sample preparation
- Oversee shipping analysis and reporting of PK assays to ensure availability of data for safety meetings, clinical study reports and publications
- Ensure fit-for-purpose biomarker data is delivered from our clinical studies on-time and on-budget.
- Support the relationships with the central lab and with third-party vendors of biomarker analytical services.
- Manage Central Lab shipping of lab kits to investigator sites to ensure proper sample preparation.
- Oversee shipping, analysis, and reporting of PK assays to ensure data availability for safety meetings, clinical study reports, and publications.
- Deliver fit-for-purpose biomarker data from clinical studies on-time and on-budget.
- Support relationships with the central lab and third-party vendors of biomarker analytical services.
About you
Required qualifications / experience:
- Currently pursuing a BSc, MSc, or PhD (or equivalent) in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, or Clinical Research.
- Flexible and creative, with the ability to excel in and contribute to a rapidly growing company in a matrixed environment.
- Collaborative and inquisitive mindset
- Fluent in English in a professional work setting.
Preferred qualifications/bonus:
- Knowledge of biomarker-informed clinical trial design
- Strong interest in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry with direct experience in drug development, specifically translational medicine. a bonus
- Knowledge of immuno-oncology
