Job Description

GitLab is seeking a LATAM Strategic Account Executive for Brazil to drive DevOps transformation and cultivate relationships with C-level executives. This remote role involves leading enterprise expansion in Brazil, conducting sales activities, ensuring successful product adoption, contributing product ideas, generating leads, and collaborating with channel partners and the marketing team. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to navigate complex sales cycles, and a strong understanding of the DevSecOps platform. The candidate will be the voice of the customer and develop account plans to address business needs.
Must have:
  • Cultivate C-level relationships and drive DevOps transformation.
  • Conduct sales activities including prospecting.
  • Ensure successful rollout and adoption of GitLab products.
  • Generate qualified leads and develop new customers.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation and closing skills.

Lead GitLab's enterprise expansion across Brazil by cultivating C-level relationships and driving DevOps transformation at the region's most prestigious organizations. This high-impact role demands a strategic seller with fluent English and Portuguese communication skills who can navigate complex enterprise sales cycles and establish GitLab as the premier DevSecOps platform throughout the Brazilian market.

What you’ll do  

  • Supports GitLab’s strategic large prospects and customers.
  • Provide account leadership and direction in the pre- and post-sales process
  • Conduct sales activities including prospecting and developing opportunities in large/strategic accounts
  • Ensure the successful rollout and adoption of GitLab products through strong account management activities and coordination with pre-and-post sales and support resources
  • Be the voice of the customer by contributing product ideas to our public issue tracker
  • Generate qualified leads and develop new customers in conjunction with our strategic channel partners .
  • Expand knowledge of industry as well as the competitive posture of the company
  • Prepare activity and forecast reports
  • Contribute to root cause analysis on wins/losses.
  • Communicate lessons learned to the team, including account managers, the marketing team, and the technical team
  • Assist sales management in conveying customer needs to product managers, and technical support staff
  • Utilize a consultative approach, discuss business issues with prospects and develop a formal quote, a written sales proposal or a formal sales presentation addressing their business needs.
  • Develop an account plan to sell to customers based on their business needs.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on marketing strategies.

  • Excellent negotiation, presentation and closing skills
  • Preferred experience with Git, Software Development Tools, Application Lifecycle Management, or security/App Sec tools
