Job Description

The Production Line Leader is responsible for meeting established production goals by effectively managing and coordinating a team, adhering to good manufacturing practices. This includes ensuring the proper use of resources such as personnel, materials, machinery, and time. The role involves maintaining compliance with FDA and Quality Standards, supervising personnel, ensuring equipment maintenance, and overseeing production standards. The Line Leader must identify and communicate any constraints that may affect order completion, verify employee training, and complete production documents accurately. They also maintain a safe work environment and follow dress code procedures.

  • Complete manufacturing orders on time by communicating any delays.

Job Details

The Production Line Leader is responsible for compliance with the production goals previously established, by the proper management and coordination of a team, using the good manufacturing practices and good behavior of the group of work. His/her responsibility is to ensure the correct use of all resources such as human, materials, machines, time, and others.

Assure that manufacturing operations follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Procedures as defined by Nordson Medical’s polices ensuring that FDA and Quality Standards are met.

  • Supervise personnel and makes sure to maintain harmony and communication between the members. At the same time, the line chief is responsible to ask for disciplinary reports when is needed.
  • Assures that all equipment, fixtures, tools, gauges, ext. have complete maintenance and inspection records prior to beginning a new manufacturing order.
  • Responsible for taking equipment, fixtures, ext. out of service and contacting maintenance when a problem is identified.
  • Assure that the Production Operator must meet production standards, defined by engineering, as assigned per the parts per goal.
  • The line chief works under the supervision of the Sr. Production Supervisor and is required to follow his/her instructions.
  • Use and Follow dress code procedures for work areas (such as Clean rooms and silicon area)
  • Assures that all manufacturing orders are completed and available to ship on time by identifying and communicating any constraints that may cause a late order to production supervisor.
  • Assures that all employees have been trained to perform assigned operations prior to beginning a new manufacturing order.
  • Can perform set-up changes for all manufacturing orders within the designated clean room and is proficient in all manufacturing processes and procedures, including inspection within the designated operation areas.
  • Responsible to perform the correct completion of production documents by the end of each shift.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by implementing, maintaining, and aligning company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties or projects as assigned.
