The Lead Content Designer will be responsible for leading the creative vision for seasonal content in Monopoly GO!. This includes ideating and delivering high-quality, original content that enhances gameplay and drives player engagement. They will develop new approaches to the game's seasonal strategy, using their industry experience and creativity. The role involves collaborating with other designers and stakeholders to create content that meets creative and business goals, using experience with licensed IPs to shape narratives. They will also be accountable for the content from ideation to implementation and will be expected to mentor team members and support their growth. The role is in a fast-paced, global environment.

Scopely is looking for a Lead Content Designer to join our Monopoly GO! game on a remote basis from Spain, Ireland, Portugal or UK.

Monopoly GO! is our casual game and a key franchise that has Scopely’s largest game, enjoyed by millions of players. The team is based in Canada, Europe and the US, and works every day to create captivating new experiences for our players.

What you’ll do

  • Report to the Director of Content Design and serve as a creative point of contact for seasonal content within the Monopoly GO! Live Game team
  • Own the creative vision for a season—ideating and delivering high-quality, original content that enhances gameplay and drives player engagement
  • Develop novel, innovative approaches to MGO’s seasonal strategy using your deep industry experience and world class creativity
  • Use your excellent communication skills to effectively share ideas to internal stakeholders and external IP partners
  • Partner with a team of skilled Content Designers to ensure content is cohesive, aligned and impactful
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Producers, Art Leads, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to deliver content that meets creative and business goals
  • Use your experience of working with licensed IPs to shape narratives and content in meaningful, brand-aligned ways
  • Remain accountable from ideation to implementation, ensuring excellence at every step of the creative pipeline
  • Advocate for best practices in mobile gaming content, keeping up with player trends and industry innovations
  • Mentor and manage team members, supporting their creative growth and professional development
  • Work in a global, fast-paced, iterative environment with multiple projects running simultaneously

What we’re looking for

  • A highly experienced and creative Lead Content Designer with a background in content, game, or narrative design for mobile titles
  • Demonstrated success in live-operated, content-rich games.
  • Proven track record of working with licensed IP and delivering engaging, IP-compliant content
  • Outstanding creative-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience mentoring designers and aligning teams behind a vision
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with global teams across time zones
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for team offsites

Bonus points

  • Familiarity with art production pipelines
  • Strong copywriting skills, with an eye for tone, clarity and audience engagement
