Job Description

Lead CPU Design Verification Engineer at Google will design verification for future CPU developments, build functional verification infrastructure (unit, multi-unit, core, and subsystem levels), and produce diagnostic code repositories for quality CPUs. Responsibilities include verifying and validating pre-silicon and post-silicon performance. The role requires expertise in verification methodologies (UVM, SystemVerilog), processor microarchitecture, and ideally low-power design verification. The position contributes to the development of custom silicon solutions powering Google's products.

Must have:

8+ years verification experience (UVM, SystemVerilog)
Processor microarchitecture expertise
Design verification for CPUs
Build verification infrastructure
Pre/Post-silicon performance verification

Good to have:

Master's/PhD in relevant field
Low-power design verification experience
Linux/Android OS knowledge
ARM ISA familiarity

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience with verification methodologies and languages such as UVM and SystemVerilog.
Experience with processor microarchitecture.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with an emphasis on computer architecture.
Experience in low-power design verification.
Knowledge of general purpose operating systems such as Linux and Android.
Familiarity with ARM Instruction Set Architecture.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $177,000-$266,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities

Design verification for future CPU developments.
Build functional verification infrastructure, the infrastructure will include unit, multi-unit, core, and subsystem level verification environments.
Produce diagnostic code repositories that sufficiently enable production of quality CPU’s.
Verify and validate performance for both pre-silicon and post-silicon.
