The Team:

The Future Lab team’s mission is to pioneer the future of play by identifying, incubating, and implementing new customer-facing, tech-enabled products, experiences, and services beyond Mattel’s conventional offerings and categories.

The position of Digital Producer sits in Future Lab Product Studio, reporting to the Senior Manager of Digital Production. The Future Lab Product Studio is a collaborative team of Product Managers, Digital Producers, and UX/UI Designers. The team is based in Mattel’s offices in El Segundo CA.

Job Description

The Opportunity: 

The Digital Producer, Future Lab will work collaboratively with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, Engineers, Technical Program Managers, and external vendor partners to execute and deliver digitally-enhanced products and applications across Mattel’s brand portfolio. The Digital Producer oversees the production process, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. They manage day-to-day development tasks, coordinate between creative, technical, and business teams, and act as the main point of contact with external software development vendors. Digital Producers bridge the gap between teams, overseeing asset management pipelines and ensuring the product meets its objectives.


This opportunity is a great fit for anyone who has experience in app development and production, and ideally has worked with well-known brands, either for a developer or a licensor. Passion for new technology, AI, and digitally-enhanced experiences is a must. You must have strong attention to detail, strong communication skills, ability to manage multiple high-complexity projects. 
 

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Partner with Product Management, Technical Program Management, Software Developers, UX/UI Designers, and Global Brand Teams to execute and deliver upon high-complexity digital experiences.
  • Supervise all aspects of production, manage vendor relations, assure product feasibility, timelines, and budget, oversee and manage asset deliverables.
  • Serve as primary liaison with vendor partners and asset creators.
  • Lead reviews of build milestones, providing guidance and feedback to vendors and tech teams with a product-first mindset focused on creating the highest quality experiences.
  • Stay on top of industry trends and the competitive landscape to help continually evolve our thinking and product standards.
  • Ensure continuous improvement by analyzing game performance to identify areas of optimization.
     

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For: 

  • 3+ years of production/project management experience in app development or digital gaming, ideally working with well-known brands.
  • Detailed understanding of the principles of app production and first-party standards.
  • Strong time management, planning and project execution skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build solid collaborative relationships.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Highly organized project manager, detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for cutting edge technologies, AI, games, apps, toys.
  • Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $117,000 and $142,000
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
