The Analytics DevOps group at LSEG is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to build, deploy, and maintain cloud and on-prem infrastructure and applications. The role involves driving automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement in development and operational processes. Key responsibilities include Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipeline development, cloud and on-prem management, automation of tasks, monitoring and logging, collaboration with teams, and implementing security best practices. Troubleshooting and providing support for application deployment and DevOps-related activities is also expected.
Must have:
  • Experience in practicing DevOps for 3-5 years.
  • Experience with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Proficient in infrastructure automation tools like Terraform.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong understanding of Linux/Unix system management.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools – GitLab, Jenkins.
  • Solid understanding of version control systems – Git, GitLab, GitHub.
  • Experience in monitoring & logging tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
  • Working experience in scripting languages such as Bash, Python or Groovy.
Good to have:
  • Experience with serverless architecture and microservices.
  • Experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and security practices.
  • Working experience in Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Certifications in DevOps or Cloud Technologies.

With a strong presence in the North America financial markets and a rapidly growing in other markets, the group is now looking to increase its market share globally by building new capabilities as Analytics as Service – A one stop shop solution for all Analytics need through API and Cloud first approach.

Position Summary:

Analytics Devops group is looking for highly motivated and skilled DevOPs Engineer to join our dynamic team to help us build, deploy, and maintain our cloud and on-prem infrastructure and applications. You will play key role in driving automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement in our development, modernizations and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Infrastructure as Code (Iac): Develop and handle infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Helm Charts, CloudFormation, or Ansible to ensure consistent and scalable environments
  • CI/CD Pipeline Development: Build, optimize, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, Gitlab, Github, or similar tools.
  • Cloud and on-prem Management: Work with Cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP) and on-prem infrastructure (VMware, Linux servers) to deploy, manage, and monitor infrastructure and services
  • Automation: Automate repetitive tasks, improve operational efficiency, and reduce human intervention for building and deploying application, services.
  • Monitoring & Logging: Working with SRE team to Setup monitoring and alerting systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog or others to ensure high availability and performance of application and infrastructure
  •  Teamwork: Collaborate with architect, operations and developers to ensure seamless integration between development, testing and production environments.
  • Security Best Practices: Implement and enforce security protocols/procedures, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability scanning and remediation
  • Provide troubleshooting support for issue related to application deployment and/or DevOPs related activities.

Essential Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field with experience (or equivalent 3-5 years of practical experience)
  • 3-5 years of experience in practicing DevOps
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineering or Software Engineer in an agile, cloud-based environment.
  • Strong expertise with containerization (Kubernetes, docker) and orchestration.
  • Proficient in Infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Helm Charts, Ansible etc.,
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Azure preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Linux/Unix system management
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools – GitLab, Jenkins.
  • Solid understanding of version control systems – Git, GitLab, GitHub
  • Experience in modern monitoring & logging tools such Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog.
  • Working experience in scripting languages such as Bash, Python or Groovy.
  • Experience with serverless architecture and microservices is a plus.
  • Experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake is plus
  • Strong problem-solving and solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in team environments.
  • knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, Load Balancers, etc) and security practices (Firewalls, encryptions)
  • Working experience in Agile/Scrum environment is plus
  • Certifications in DevOps or Cloud Technologies (e.g., Azure DevOps Solutions, AWS Certified DevOps ) is preferred.

Compensation/Benefits Information:

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $328,500 - $610,100.

Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/”bonus plan”). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match. LSEG’s Benefits plan also includes basic life insurance, disability benefits, emergency backup dependent care, adoption assistance commuter assistance etc.
