Job Description

Lead a team of product managers at YouTube, focusing on Trust and Safety. Define, detect, and prevent scaled abuse on the platform, developing strategies to combat malicious actors while ensuring a safe environment for users, creators, and advertisers. This role involves creating product requirements, leading product design and development, and owning product roadmaps. Collaboration with engineering, marketing, legal, UX, and other teams is essential, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to improve YouTube's safety and security. The role requires strong technical leadership and experience in product management within a trust and safety context at a technology company.

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 10 years of experience in trust and safety at a technology company.
  • 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
  • 5 years of experience in people management, with technical leadership.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a technology or business related field.
  • 7 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales, finance, and other stakeholders.
  • 7 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
  • 5 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
  • 5 years of experience in software development or engineering.
  • Knowledge in building accessibility best practices, and experience/curiosity for incorporating accessibility into product development methodologies.

In this role, you will be defining, detecting and preventing scaled abuse on Google's platform.You will focus on understanding incentives and behaviors to create strategies to combat bad actors, while enabling YouTube to be a place safe for users, creators and advertisers to thrive. You will be solving the toughest problems in technology and policy today and are looking on how to build a safer YouTube and Internet.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $227,000-$320,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of product managers.
  • Lead a team through defining, identifying, collecting, and tracking appropriate product or business metrics. 
  • Create product requirements, co-lead product design and development and own product roadmaps. 
  • Lead collaboration with engineering, marketing, legal, User Experience (UX), and other teams on cutting edge technologies.
