Job Description

The Lead ITSM System Administrator will have analyst and administrator responsibilities for Syniverse enterprise-wide systems. This role involves in-depth analysis of data to ensure integrity within internal reporting systems. The administrator must exercise good judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to obtain and communicate meaningful results and drive continuous improvement.
Must have:
  • Manage enterprise-wide system and data.
  • Define system requirements with internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain data quality with routine database cleansing.
  • Provide administrative support to system users daily.
  • Conduct analysis, design, evaluation, testing, and implementation of systems.
  • Plan and direct studies of potential electronic data processing applications.
  • Develop test plans and protocols for system performance.
  • Conduct analysis of systems specifications using diagramming tools.
  • Develop conversion and system implementation plans.
  • Prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation.
  • Recommend changes in development, maintenance, and system standards.
  • Coordinate system upgrade activity.
  • Train user personnel in system conversion and implementation.
  • Lead internal/external projects by business partners' request.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on technology enablement for business strategies.
  • 5+ years professional experience with BMC Remedy/Helix ITSM software administration, maintenance, and development.
  • 3+ years professional experience with Asset Management, Service Request Management, and Change Management.
  • ITIL V3 or V4 Foundation certification required.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Customer-focused attitude and effective user support.
  • Ability to learn and adopt new technologies and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Good to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred
  • BMC Certified Professional or BMC Certified Administrator preferred

Lead ITSM System Administrator

Who We're Looking For

The Lead ITSM System Administrator will have analyst and administrator responsibilities for one or several of our Syniverse enterprise-wide systems. In this role you will perform in-depth analysis of situations or data to evaluate variable factors, primarily ensuring data integrity within internal reporting systems. In this role, you must exercise good judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria in order to obtain and communicate meaningful results and continuous improvement.

Some of What You'll Do

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Management of enterprise-wide system and data (customer related objects, products, users, workflows, validation rules etc.)
  • Define system requirements with internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain data quality in system with routine database cleansing.
  • Provide administrative support to system users and stakeholders on a daily basis.
  • Conduct analysis, design, evaluation, modification, testing and implementation of enterprise-wide system(s) across functional areas.
  • Plan and directs studies of potential electronic data processing applications and prepares design proposals to reflect cost, time and alternative actions to satisfy existing and future needs of the corporation.
  • Develop test plans and protocols for evaluation of system performance.
  • Conduct analysis of systems specifications and uses the latest analysis/diagramming tools to represent business/technical processes.
  • Develop conversion and system implementation plans.
  • Prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation.
  • Recommend changes in development, maintenance and system standards.
  • Coordinate system upgrade activity.
  • Train user personnel in the conversion and implementation of the system.
  • Lead internal/external projects by specific request of business partners.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on technology enablement for business strategies.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years professional experience with BMC Remedy/Helix ITSM software administration, maintenance, and development.
  • 3+ years professional experience with Asset Management, Service Request Management, and Change Management.
  • ITIL V3 or V4 Foundation certification required.
  • BMC Certified Professional or BMC Certified Administrator preferred.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for interacting with IT teams, end-users, and leadership.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
