The Lead Logistics Specialist will assist warehouse staff in maintaining safety, work instruction compliance, and a high level of customer service. This role involves working on complex issues requiring in-depth analysis. Responsibilities include maintaining logs, delegating tasks, processing shipments, coordinating inventory control, training personnel, updating cycle counts, preparing reports, and ensuring product segregation. The specialist will also lead process improvement projects and adhere to quality management systems. This role requires a strong understanding of logistics and warehouse operations, with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
Must have:
  • Maintain logs and files for receipts and shipments.
  • Delegate and assign tasks to warehouse staff.
  • Process domestic and international shipments.
  • Coordinate Inventory Control activities.
  • Train personnel in inventory control and procedures.
  • Process daily reports for supervisor.
  • Cross-train all staff members.
  • High School Diploma/GED with shipping/receiving experience.
  • Computer experience.
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of GMP or GDP preferred.

Job Details

The Lead Logistics Specialist is responsible for assisting warehouse staff with maintaining safety, work instruction compliance and a high level of customer service. The Lead will work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors   What You’ll Work On • Maintain accurate logs and files for receipts, lot control, and daily shipments. • Delegate and assign tasks to warehouse staff. • Process domestic and or international shipments consisting of pulling the order, entering into computer system, and scheduling carrier pick up. • Help coordinate Inventory Control activities through cross-functional communication with Manufacturing, Quality and other departments. • Train personnel in inventory control and standard operating procedures. • Pull releases from post sterile area to be placed in finished goods inventory and enters releases into ERP system. • Update and maintain cycle counting on a routine basis with other staff members. • Process daily reports for supervisor. • Responsible for cross-training of all staff members • Maintain appropriate segregation of product awaiting release. • Coordinate return of products from sterilization facility with sterilizer and freight carrier. • Perform Receiving as needed for processing receipts. • Lead process improvement projects. • Escalates concerns or issues to management. • Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures. • Understand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company. • Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures. • Perform other work-related duties as assigned   What You Contribute • High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of previous shipping/receiving, stores and inventory control experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience  • Leadership experience • Computer experience  • Knowledge of GMP or GDP preferred • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail   Working Conditions Shipping/Receiving and Stores Warehouse and cleanroom environment as needed. Willingness and ability to work on site. Potential exposure to blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials. Requires lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds. Must be able to move between buildings and floors. Must be able to remain stationary and use a computer or other standard office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine, for an extensive period of time each day. Must be able to read, prepare emails, and produce documents and spreadsheets. Must be able to move within the office and access file cabinets or supplies, as needed.     Base Pay Range Per Hour:  $25.00 – $32.00 Individual compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, work location and shift, and will increase over time based on meeting performance and business needs.
