Envestnet is looking for a Lead - Network Engineering to join the Enterprise Services & Infra Ops team. The role involves ensuring the uptime and reliable performance of critical production systems hosted in the cloud, leveraging automation to improve operational efficiency, resolving high-severity incidents, maintaining security best practices, providing architectural input, and monitoring network performance. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of experience with networking technologies. They should also have experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments in a 24x7 high-availability settings, in addition to configuring and troubleshooting Palo Alto and Fortinet Firewalls. The candidate is also expected to have experience with monitoring and logging tools.
Must have:

- Experience with Palo Alto and Fortinet Firewalls.
- Strong experience with monitoring and logging tools.
- Proficient in routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
- Solid troubleshooting skills under pressure.
- Experience with both Windows and Linux environments.
- Deep understanding of network fundamentals.
- Scripting and automation experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Good to have:
- CCNP certification.
- AWS Certifications are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the uptime and reliable performance of critical production systems hosted in the cloud.
- Leverage automation and emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency and consistency.
- Respond to and resolve high-severity (Sev1/Sev2) incidents and defects in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Maintain and enforce security, backup, and redundancy best practices.
- Provide architectural and engineering input for improving application and infrastructure solutions.
- Monitor and analyze application/network performance to detect and resolve bottlenecks.
- Stay current with industry trends and continuously enhance your networking skills.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in Networking with deep knowledge of routing, switching, and Wi-Fi technologies.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments in 24x7 high-availability settings.
- Proven expertise in configuring and troubleshooting Palo Alto and Fortinet Firewalls.
- Strong experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, SolarWinds).
- Proficient in routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
- Solid troubleshooting skills under pressure.
- Experience with both Windows and Linux environments.
- Deep understanding of network fundamentals (OSI model, TCP/IP, load balancing, firewall rule management).
- Scripting and automation experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CCNP certification.
- AWS Certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, Advanced Networking) are highly desirable.
