Lead or Principal Business Consultant, Accounting & Operations (ABOR)
We are seeking an individual to join our Accounting and Operations team in APAC. The role can either be offered at a Lead or Principal level depending on the level of experiences and skills of the successful candidate.

Why is the role important to us:
At SimCorp, we facilitate the streamlining of investment decisions, accounting, and operations for major global financial institutions. In the role of Lead Business Consultant, you will be expected to take an active role in the ABOR service line to improve implementation expertise, know-how of ABOR consultants within our market unit and beyond.
You will normally be working full-time on implementation projects, which require your expertise in the ABOR area. Lead Business Consultants are highly skilled professionals who form part of our Professional Services team, working within Consulting Services and based within the market units. The main purpose of the role is to provide expert advice and functional delivery in the successful deployment of SimCorp Dimension® within a client’s environment.
What you will be responsible for
Your accountabilities include but will not be limited to:
Independently manage one or more business-related workstreams in the implementation project, responsible for identifying all required tasks, dependencies, and time/resource estimates and providing status updates to Project Manager for inclusion in the overall project plan
Can act as project leader for small and mid-sized SimCorp Dimension® projects
Facilitate requirements gathering workshop and trainings at new or existing clients in business-related areas and domains
Document client requirements and map to SimCorp Dimension® functions and processes, identifying improvements and efficiencies where possible. Possess understanding of basic project planning
Responsible for providing configuration and end-user training, allowing the client to maintain SimCorp Dimension® and optimize its usage
Key contact for our customers for questions in connection with SimCorp Dimension®
Instruct and mentor less experienced colleagues on the job
Identify opportunities to offer tailored services beyond the project scope to our customers in your role as a trusted advisor
Contribute to improving best practices for implementation processes and promote topics across projects
What we value
Above all, your ability to thrive in and contribute to this role is paramount. Your skills' origins are less critical; however, we expect proficiency in several of the following areas, with an eagerness to learn:
Degree/master's within Finance, Economics, Accounting.
Proven experience and knowledge within accounting standards / regulations e.g. IFRS9, USGAAP, Tax
Relevant experience and knowledge within Asset Management (ABOR)
Several years of experience supporting SimCorp Dimension solutions, covering the following topics:
Investment/Financial Accounting
Fund Accounting
General Ledger Accounting
Reconciliations
Constantly willing to expand your knowledge of SimCorp Dimension® and the clients’ businesses in order to ensure that clients get the optimal configuration and workflow.
Are result driven, creative, and analytical with a global perspective.
Have excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
Ideally, you have SimCorp Dimension® experience or you are familiar with implementing and configuring financial software
Strong sense of ownership and accountability
Flexible for travel as we operate as an APAC organization.
