Bally’s operates the Bally Live and Stadium sports streaming services. Bally Live is a free live streaming app that allows sports fans to engage with their favorite events in real-time while fostering interactive fan communities and earning rewards for activities. Stadium, a joint venture between Bally’s and Silver Chalice (owned by Jerry Reinsdorf, who also owns the Chicago Bulls and White Sox), is a free advertising-supported streaming (FAST) sports network distributed through partners such as Samsung TV Plus, Amazon Fire TV and Prime Video, Tubi, YouTube TV, and Fubo TV.  Sports and events that Bally Live and Stadium broadcast include Minor League Baseball, Savannah Bananas, GLORY kickboxing, AVP Beach Volleyball as well as betting shows.

Well, what about the team?

We are looking for a talented Lead Product Designer to help create intuitive and impactful product experiences across our customers’ journey with Bally Live. Product designers at Bally Live play a central role in the product development process, partnering closely with Product Management and Engineering to solve customer problems in an agile environment. You will be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from high-level product strategy, to leading and facilitating user testing and discovery efforts, to tweaking pixels right before launch. You are passionate about working closely with customers and building empathy with users, as well as collaborating closely with cross-functional teammates to craft engaging and intuitive experiences for the Bally Live app across TV, mobile, and web platforms. Your success will be measured by the experiences that your team ships and the outcomes they deliver for customers and the business.

Bally Live is building out its product design function and this role will be the first full-time design hire. You will not only be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to do actual design work but also desire the opportunity to promote a strong design culture at Bally Live and establish processes and structure that enables the team create innovative solutions. 

So, what will you be doing? 

• Collaborating and iterating with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to design elegant solutions
• Producing multiple solutions, from sketches to high-fidelity mockups and prototypes.
• Conducting user tests, research, and experiments to understand real users' motivations and pain points
• Analyzing product analytics data and customer feedback to identify areas for enhancement
• Taking responsibility for all customer touchpoints and interactions within your team's scope
• Presenting work to stakeholders and providing UX specs and design requirements for engineering delivery

And what are we looking for? 

• 7+ years of Product Design experience at a consumer-focused product companies with a track record of shipping many features/products over the years
• Design for mobile apps and web platforms; experience with video products on connected TV devices (e.g., Roku, Amazon Fire TV) is valued.
• Demonstrate exceptional visual design skills and a clear command of information architecture and interaction design.
• Be proficient in wireframing and prototyping
• Have extensive experience conducting user testing and research
• Have passion for streaming, sports and TV industries
• Be able to communicate design decisions clearly and effectively across all functions and levels of the organization
• Drive the design process end-to-end and partner with cross-functional teams to discover solutions that exceed user expectations.
