The Lead Product Specialist will address the SPDM needs of customers across various industries to deploy Multiphysics at scale. This role involves a deep understanding of the SPDM offering, core simulation applications, solvers, and optimization/automation tools. The specialist will collaborate with product experts, ACE, PM, and R&D to shape new product features, focusing on technology, workflows, deployment, and enablement. Key responsibilities include technical expertise in SPDM, supporting enablement activities, leading interlock activities, and assisting R&D and PMs. The ideal candidate will also motivate others and handle complex field/customer engagements.
Must have:
  • 10+ years' experience in Mechanical/Electrical/Computer Science
  • Hands-on CAE/SPDM work experience (Structures, CFD, EMAG, optimization)
  • Experience with scripting/coding languages with pre/post/solvers
Good to have:
  • Excellent technical knowledge of enterprise solutions like SPDM, PLM, ALM
  • Experience delivering high-quality support for large-scale commercial software
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Summary / Role Purpose 

This is a critical role in addressing the increasingly important SPDM needs of our customers across various industries to deploy Multiphysics at scale across enterprises.

The Lead Product Specialist has a deep understanding of our SPDM offering, including the general core simulation applications, solvers and optimization/automation tools that are leveraged by customers. The successful candidate will work closely with other product experts, Ansys Customer excellence (ACE), PM and R&D across various activities that impact technology/features/workflows, deployment, enablement and feedback to shape direction of new product features

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Recognized as a technical expert within the organization for SPDM, but will also extend to other adjacent platform offerings incrementally
Support enablement activities for ACE such as training, troubleshooting, supporting customer escalations, POCs and or product integrations
 Lead ACE/BU interlock activities to maintain regular visibility on existing product capabilities/ workflows, develop technical collateral and COE coordination.
Work with the extended product expert team to triage, track & resolve field requests, issues & communicate with R&D and PM.
Assist R&D teams and PMs on user story grooming, pertaining workflow details and quality considerations and engage with other BUs on POCs or product integrations
Lead projects and motivate others towards a common goal.  Displays desire to get involved. Instills confidence in others
Develop the trust and respect of team members
Learn new tasks and adapt to change, establish priorities, and handle various tasks simultaneously, perform job under pressure or in critical situations

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 10+ years’ experience
Requires strong hands-on CAE/SPDM work experience (Structures, CFD, EMAG, optimization) in a CAE Analyst/other engineering role with exposure to commercial CAE/SPDM packages (Ansys or Non-Ansys tools)
Experience with scripting/coding languages with pre/post/solvers/other
Ability to handle pressure situations and managing complex field/customer engagements

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

Excellent technical knowledge and commercial experience with enterprise solutions like SPDM, PLM, ALM
Passion for crafting robust and efficient code
Experience delivering high-quality support for large-scale commercial software
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a geographically distributed team
