Job Description
The Lead QA role ensures software meets client and business quality standards within project release cycles. Responsibilities include defining testing scope, writing test plans, designing test cases, and developing SQL scripts. The role involves actively participating in test planning, ensuring optimal test coverage, logging defects, and performing various testing types like functional, regression, and UAT. Additionally, the role requires validating fixes, communicating test status, mentoring a team, and contributing to best practices. The job also includes DWH/Database testing and investigating data quality issues. Successful candidates will have strong communication skills and experience with SQL and Data Warehousing principles.
Must have:

Job Details
The purpose of this role is to ensure the developed software meets the client requirements and the business’ quality standards within the project release cycle and established processes. To lead QA technical initiatives in order to optimize the test approach and tools.
Job Description:
Mandatory Skills

Key responsibilities:
- Define scope and objectives of all levels of QA testing.
- Write test plans, design test cases, develop test SQL scripts, test conditions, test procedures and expected results
- Actively participates in test planning by identifying testing requirements, scope and estimates
- Ensures optimal test coverage comprising of positive, negative and exception scenarios
- Logs defects with right priority, tracking them to closure and understanding the root cause for an issue
- Work on DWH / Database testing
- Perform all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Validate fixes and ensure follow through to all test cycles
- Investigate and recommend remediation strategies for data quality conditions, and process failures
- Communicate test status to internal project team and clients(s)
- Develop and contribute best practices and standards for a solution or across multiple medium/large scale projects/accounts
- Mentoring a team of 2 to 3 QA Associates
