Team, about the role

We have big plans for the development and growth of our products, so we're looking for a Lead QA Engineer to join the Resources Team. This team develops ways to package and deliver our games to players, as well as optimizing game resource processes and creating tools for working with them. You'll be working with a complex system that'll allow you to implement and improve your technical skills, including skills in automated testing.

Tasks

  • Providing quality control and testing the functionality of a complex product, a Unity-like engine and editor
  • Taking ownership of the quality of the delivered product and the management of bugs at the team level
  • Developing automated testing at the team level
  • Managing and developing a team of QA engineers (2-3 people)
  • Developing and implementing changes to team processes

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in testing, 2+ years as a team leader
  • Experience in Python programming (or willingness to switch to it)
  • Excellent knowledge of and ability to apply testing theory in practice
  • Experience working with consoles (and/or knowledge of Bash)
  • Understanding of Git flow and CI/CD processes
  • Understanding of software architecture and development life cycle
  • Skills in people and project management

Preferred

  • Experience in video game quality assurance
  • Experience in testing technically complex systems
