Job Description

Ubisoft is seeking an experienced Lead QA to lead their QA team for The Division Resurgence. Responsibilities include team management, overseeing testing processes, ensuring high-quality game delivery, collaborating with cross-functional teams, identifying and tracking issues, conducting bug reviews, troubleshooting, driving process improvement, and contributing to the overall development strategy. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with extensive experience in QA methodologies and mobile game development. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement (3 days a week in the Saint-Mandé office).

We are seeking an experienced Lead QA to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the QA team, overseeing the testing and quality assurance processes, and ensuring the delivery of a polished, high-quality gaming experience.

This role requires strong leadership, a keen eye for detail, and extensive knowledge of testing processes and methodologies.

The Lead Gameplay Programmer will report to and work under the management of the Associate Producer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recommand an organization, recruit and lead a team of QA testers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure professional growth and successful project delivery.
  • Oversee the development, execution, and management of test plans, test cases, and testing strategies, ensuring alignment with the project’s goals and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and producers, to identify, document, and track issues throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Conduct and facilitate regular bug reviews, prioritizing issues and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical and gameplay issues in collaboration with the development team to ensure a smooth and seamless gaming experience.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the QA process by staying current with industry trends, testing tools, and best practices, and by implementing new tools and processes where necessary.
  • Ensure all testing efforts adhere to company standards for quality, security, and compliance.
  • Contribute to the overall development strategy by providing insights and recommendations on improving game stability, performance, and functionality from a QA perspective.
  • Report to and work under the guidance of the Technical Director, ensuring alignment with quality assurance goals and technical objectives.

Qualifications

Relevant experience, skills and knowledge

  • Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role within a game QA team.
  • Extensive experience in quality assurance, with a deep understanding of testing methodologies, bug tracking systems, and QA best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, isolate, and resolve complex issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and collaborate with other departments.
  • Ability to mentor and develop junior and mid-level QA testers, fostering a collaborative and detail-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of mobile game development and online multiplayer systems is desirable.
