Job Summary

Job Description

This role involves planning and guiding reservoir engineering activities for both exploration support and producing assets. Responsibilities include reservoir modeling and simulation, production history matching, well testing, production planning and monitoring, reserves register maintenance, and field optimization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of reservoir engineering principles and practices, experience with reservoir simulators and production data analysis, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. The role also requires strong communication and collaboration skills for effective stakeholder management and team work.

Must have:

Plan & guide Reservoir Engineering Activities
Reservoir modeling and simulation studies
Well testing operation at well site
Prepare monthly production plan
Conduct reservoir simulation using Comet3/ Eclipse/ Petrel RE simulator
Plan & guide Field Optimization Activities
Petroleum Engineering degree
8-12 years of experience

About the job

Job Responsibilities :

Plan & guide Reservoir Engineering Activities for Exploration Support

Plan and execute the Reservoir modelling and simulation studies; Carry out production history matching

Plan and conduct well testing operation at well site and analyze results

Prepare monthly production plan and monitor production activities; analyze production data including reserves register maintenance

Conduct well testing for estimation of reservoir parameters

Prepare data input sets on CBM reservoir parameters and model in consultation with Geologists

Conduct reservoir simulation using Comet3/ Eclipse/ Petrel RE simulator for single/ group of wells

Conduct parametric simulation studies by varying critical reservoir parameters and operational parameters

Plan & guide Field Optimization Activities for Producing Assets, Improved Recovery Methods, etc. & QA / QC all inputs & outputs

Prepare short-term and long-term production forecasting

Guide RE staff & execute RE activities associated with JV Assets such production monitoring /analysis, Analysis of well & field Performance, Analysis of Well Intervention Opportunities, Analysis of new infill wells / revisions to field development plan, Work Programme / Budget, JV Proposal Analysis etc

Implement techno-economic analysis

Education Requirement :

Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Petroleum Engineering from a recognized university

Experience Requirement :

8-12 years of experience specific in development/ production operations

Skills & Competencies :

Functional Competencies:

Problem solving/ Decision making

Familiarization in using reservoir simulators and production data analysis

Knowledge of well testing principles and practices, Reservoir parameters, Reservoir simulation techniques

Behavioral Competencies:
