Responsibilties

  • This position offers a hybrid work environment, which includes the ability to work from home but will also require an on-site presence as needed at our Lakeside and/or Clayton Corporate HQ campus locations in St. Louis, Missouri.

As a member of the Digital Workplace Engineering team, you’ll be participating in the development and implementation of collaboration platforms throughout the Enterprise Mobility environment. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to work across multiple teams to help deliver innovative solutions in support of Enterprise Mobility’s technology strategy. Through familiarity with emerging technologies, security and engineering best practices, you can help provide secure and user-friendly solutions to our business.

The Digital Workplace Engineering team has an exciting opportunity for an Engineer 3, Systems. As an Engineer 3, you will design, develop and modify many different elements of technology. You will be required to understand advanced methods, theories and research techniques that establish ongoing direction and implementation of the technology vision and strategy. As an Engineer 3, we will be looking to you as a subject matter expert in multiple areas of technology that will represent your team in a positive manner within and outside of your department. You will be leading implementations and providing viable recommendations for implementing new solutions. You will be providing instruction and guidance to less senior team members on new tasks and assignments; ensuring deadlines are met. Daily activities will include collaborating with Architects and recommending adjustments to the architecture to improve the overall quality and integration. You will also be required to monitor key performance metrics to ensure compliance of established standards, processes, and procedures.

Key responsibilities as an Engineer 3 on the Digital Workplace Engineering team include:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem, including Office 365 (Teams voice, SharePoint Online and Exchange)
  • Lead and contribute to special projects aimed at enhancing the organization's Digital Workplace environment
  • Optimize and administer MS Teams Voice, SharePoint Online, and MS Exchange for seamless communication and collaboration
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to the IT team and stakeholders on Microsoft-related matters
  • Implement and follow robust IT processes to ensure the stability and reliability of the IT environment
  • Identify areas for process improvement and automation, driving efficiency and reducing manual intervention
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem, staying updated on the latest technologies and best practices

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field is required
  • 5+ years IT related experience
  • Proven experience in IT engineering with a focus on the Microsoft ecosystem
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on engineering experience with MS Teams / MS Teams Voice, SharePoint Online, Exchange, Graph API and Entra
  • Strong knowledge of Intune / Modern Device Management practices to ensure efficient and secure device deployment
  • Experience leading and contributing to special projects that enhance the IT Infrastructure and Digital Workplace experience
  • Process-driven mindset with a focus on automation
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities

Preferred

  • Experience with automation and scripting skills.
  • Experience in Azure cloud services and solutions
  • Experience with modern voice solutions
  • Experience with Atlassian cloud applications (Jira, Confluence)
