Job Details

Do you enjoy creating stunning visuals, in efficient ways?

As the Lead Technical Artist at Snowprint Studios, you’ll work on Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus, an award-winning mobile strategy game played by millions. You’ll lead technical art, build tools and workflows, improve performance, and bring visuals to life. Always with the player experience in mind.

You’ll collaborate with experienced developers with long track records in making games. We keep the process lean and let people lead their own work. Decisions are made by the team, not handed down. We value quick iterations in development, and release new features and improvements to our players often

What you’ll be doing

You’ll lead technical art efforts, innovate tools, optimize rendering, and refine pipelines for artists and designers all while delivering stunning visuals with smooth performance. You’ll take part in our never ending efforts to make Tacticus look and feel as good as it possibly can.

You’ll work closely with artists and developers to improve how we create, implement, and optimize art. You’ll help solve visual bugs and crashes, reduce content size, and make sure our art stays stable and efficient even as the game grows.

You’ll design, maintain, and document tools, C# scripts, and components to help the team work faster and better. You'll also spot and plan ways to raise visual quality across the board.

What you bring

You’ve spent years making games look better, run smoother, and get built faster. You like taking ownership and driving development forward.

You’ve built and supported live games, ideally including mobile. You know what it takes to bring visuals to life, keep performance solid, and improve pipelines along the way.

You’re fluent in Unity and comfortable writing tools in C#. You’ve worked with both 2D and 3D content, and you probably know your way around Maya.

You understand mobile hardware limits and how to get the most out of them by profiling, optimizing, and managing memory with confidence.

Where you’ll work

Our Berlin studio is in Mitte, with a hybrid working model. We work from the office Tuesdays and Fridays, to allow for closer collaboration and socializing, other days it's up to everyone where they feel most comfortable to work. We support hybrid work by supplying you with the right setup and tools.
