[ ABOUT THE ROLE ]
Krafton India is looking for an in-house Legal Counsel with 7-12 years of relevant experience. The role will support corporate development deals, corporate matters, commercial transactions, and other legal operations in India.
[ RESPONSIBILITIES ]
- Draft, negotiate, structure, advise, and review corporate agreements including: venture capital investment documentation (SHA, SPA, etc.), fund investment documentation (LPA, side letters, etc.), intercompany corporate agreements and other corporate matters
- Advise on corporate compliance, and tax matters
- Work on commercial matters including marketing, publishing, licensing, technology and data privacy-related agreements, etc.
Principal duties will be supporting the corporate development team based in India as it invests in India and surrounding regions.
Plan and direct related legal affairs and ensure business policies and activities are managed correctly
and in compliance with Indian laws and regulations.
Other responsibilities:
- Supporting Krafton and its affiliates in other regions in corporate and commercial matters as part of the Global Legal Dept
- Review changes to Indian law and regulations and advise Global Legal
- Engage and coordinate with outside counsel
- Monitor Indian governmental and legal issues relevant to the Company
- Occasional travel may be required within India and broader region, and to U.S. and Korea
- Other relevant legal duties as assigned
[ REQUIREMENTS ]
- 7-12 years of relevant legal experience in top tier Indian law firm and/or in house legal department at premium companies in India
- Specialized in corporate law, with experience in venture capital investments
- Able to handle individual corporate development matters without direct supervision
- Experience or familiarity with fund investments or fund formation
- Able to handle commercial transactions
- Flexibility to work with different time zones
- Team player capable of working both independently and with others
- Sense of humor
- Law degree required; must be licensed to practice law in India
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
- Experience with international investments, particularly with Singapore, Middle East, Korea, or other Asian markets is a strong plus
- Korean language skills a plus
- Tax experience a plus
