Lighting TD role at One Of Us VFX studio requires experience in high-end VFX using Houdini, shot lighting & rendering on high-quality productions. Knowledge of VFX techniques, workflow, and render engines is essential.

One Of Us is a visual effects studio founded in London in 2004 by co-directors Rachael Penfold, Dominic Parker and Tom Debenham.

With a dynamic team of over 350 highly skilled professionals, we take pride in pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling with experience in all stages of production, from concept through to planning, photography and post-production.

From breathtaking fantasy landscapes to gripping action sequences, our portfolio spans a diverse range of genres and award winning projects such as Pinocchio, The Witcher and The Crown.

Lighting TDs are responsible for lighting and rendering. One Of Us is expanding our current team for roles across film and TV projects, a general understanding of other 3D disciplines is desirable, but not a prerequisite.


Responsibilities:

  • Creating visually stunning and photo-real visual effects for high-end Film and TV projects
  • Assisting with developing the look of sequences with the supervision team

  • Driving creative 3D concepts with good communication, planning, concepts/sketches
  • Completing high-quality work on time and to specification
  • Being creative and proactive in executing and assisting on all shots in a sequence


What we are looking for:

  • Proven and demonstrable experience in high-end VFX using Houdini. 
  • Showreel demonstrating experience in shot lighting and rendering on high quality productions
  • In-depth knowledge of VFX techniques, workflow and some experience with other software (Substance, Mari, Nuke, ZBrush) is preferable
  • Good knowledge of render engines, i.e. Arnold
  • Able to work as part of a collaborative team in both the studio and remotely

 

All roles, including hybrid/remote opportunities, at One of Us require candidates to reside in the UK or France, depending on the location of the role, or must be willing to relocate for the duration of the contract. All candidates must disclose if they have an existing Right to Work in the relevant country, or would require sponsorship support, i.e. Visa.
