Scopely seeks a Live Ops Manager to launch and manage a AAA game. Responsibilities include executing the Live Ops strategy, designing and executing Live Ops plans, suggesting tool improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams (designers, analysts, QA), performing game performance reviews and A/B testing, achieving KPI targets, and conducting competitor analysis. The role requires strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills, passion for creating engaging user experiences, and experience with mobile KPI metrics, preferably in collection RPGs. The candidate must be a self-motivated team player, comfortable working with global teams and available for weekend work as needed.

Description

Scopely is looking for a talented and experienced Live Ops Manager to help launch and manage a soon-to-be announced AAA game. The candidate will help champion the game’s Live Ops execution to deliver best-in-class consumer experiences that are addictive, appealing and inherently social.
In this role, the Live Ops Manager will work closely with embedded Data Analysts, PMs, Game Designers, Economy Designers, and Live Ops Artists to create outstanding game experiences that optimize franchise retention and monetization metrics. The ideal candidate embraces a team-first mentality, is flexible, highly motivated, and approachable, with excellent communication skills acquired through experience in the gaming industry.
You are a self-motivated team player who is passionate about delivering flawless and exciting content in game and is prepared to roll up your sleeves and work with team members around the world.
What you will do:
  • Execute on the Live Operations strategy and events for an RPG product
  • Deliver on a complete Live Ops plan and participate in the design and execution of the Live Ops strategy for a new game title
  • Actively provide suggestions for tools requirements and improvements resulting in Live Ops efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Work closely with Economy Designers, to determine and tune content, rewards, and optimize pricing strategies
  • Collaborate with Game Design and other cross-functional teams including developers, customer relations, quality assurance, art, and analytics to achieve Scopely goals (e.g., economy tuning, live ops design, maintenance) and ensure engaging new content and events are delivered to the highest quality
  • Work closely with the Analytics team to perform extensive game performance reviews, split tests, and identify areas of opportunity
  • Help achieve KPI targets that will allow us to hit business targets
  • Measure events performance in relation to sales, features, tests, and results, in order to evaluate the performance of new events, features and game content, relying on gaming market trends and economic research
  • Perform competitor analysis and be up to date with industry trends

 

What we're looking for:
  • Track record of Live Ops execution on market leading products
  • Experience with A/B testing initiatives to maximize feature KPIs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Outstanding written/oral, organizational, analytical skills, and attention to detail
  • Strong passion for creating fun, compelling and addictive user experiences.
  • Self sufficient, resourceful, and keen on operational efficiency with limited resources
  • Goals driven and has an understanding of mobile KPI metrics, preferably on collection RPGs, and how to improve KPIs through Live Ops strategies
  • Strong communication skills to be able to coordinate effectively with partner teams such as community, publishing, marketing, user acquisition, customer experience, and QA
  • Strong excel / spreadsheet skills
  • Promote a team first mentality
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, creative and analytical. BA/BS degree preferred
  • Available to work weekends as needed
For candidates in CA, CO, NJ, NY and WA, the annual salary range is $87,000-105,000, plus equity, bonus and benefits including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time-off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
