Job Description

The Leave of Absence (LOA) Operations Specialist at ByteDance manages LOA cases, serves as a liaison between employees, vendors, and HR, and provides tier-2 support. Responsibilities include vendor management, data audits, process improvement, SOP creation, Workers Compensation claims management, and ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in leave management, benefits administration, and relevant systems (Workday, ADP, etc.). Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills are essential, along with expertise in Excel.

As a Benefits Specialist at TikTok, you will be supporting various employee benefits, including but not limited to Leave of Absence (LOA), healthcare benefits, and 401(k) retirement plan. The ideal candidate should have strong experience and knowledge in leave management, benefits operation and applicable compliance requirements per different types of plans, along with benefits vendor management and system optimization experience. Responsibilities: - Manage Leave of Absence (LOA) cases and daily operations, serve as the liaison between the employee, leave and disability vendor, manager, and HRBP regarding their need for leave, closely collaborate with the business on complex scenarios; - Provide ongoing tier-2 support to employees and businesses throughout the leave journey, manage LOA email inbox and internal tickets; - Manage leave and disability vendors, including new vendor implementation, billing, monitor vendor usage and continually evaluate vendor performance based on SLA; - Conduct the periodical audits to ensure the integrity of LOA data across platforms, such as census data, leave dates, LOA pay, and return status; - Manage key leave transition processes and LOA pay related tasks, Conduct LOA and Disability program filing per federal and state requirements; - Manage Workers Compensation claims; - Manage LOA communication and wiki guides, identify service and process gaps through daily operation and deliver continuous improvement on employee experience and operation efficiency; - Build Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Aids to provide instructions for leave related tasks.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred; - Advantageous to have 3+ years' HR related work experience, with hands on experience in Leave of Absence (LOA) and benefits administration in a high-volume environment; - Experience in Workday, ADP, AbsenceOne, or other benefits administration system is highly preferred; - Ability to work in a fast-moving environment, multi-tasking, and meet deadlines; - Expert in Excel and attention to detail; - Great verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $72000 - $116000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
