We are a crowdfunded company and have a dedicated and enthusiastic community of backers who are helping us create the “Best Damn Space Sim Ever”. We want to build the best we can deliver and we believe wholeheartedly in the value of exceptional diverse talent.
Our various international communities deserve the best localization support - our Localization QA Specialists are a vital part of the process.
You will get a chance to work directly with the internal Localization department and help build the LQA processes needed to test out our games before the release to our international audiences. Our goal has always been to deliver the best quality – your support will directly impact the way our content is presented for each locale.
Founded in 2012, Cloud Imperium Games creates cutting-edge videogames that defy expectations. We’re currently developing Star Citizen, a record-breaking multiplayer online space sim, and Squadron 42, a cinematic single-player adventure set in the same universe. What does a Localization QA Specialist at Cloud Imperium Games do?
Although the Localization QA Specialist’s role is quite varied, the responsibilities boil down to five primary areas:
Assisting in building the QA processes for various locale version of the games.
Collaborating with internal team members and external vendors to deliver fully localized and tested content.
Being the champion of quality, both internally and externally.
Aiding the Localization Specialists in testing the game and ensuring timely deliveries of our various projects.
Supporting our growth culture and advocating knowledge sharing within your team and vendors.
What do we expect from our Localization QA Specialists?
If you are passionate about making games accessible to the wider international audience, then you are halfway there! Although, we do need you to know some specific skills, like:
Ideally a native speaker of one of the following languages: German/French/Spanish/Korean/Chinese/Japanese/Italian/Brazilian Portuguese
Previous experience in localized content testing, with a special interest in the sci-fi genre.
Experienced user of various testing solutions.
Understanding the process of video games subtitling and dubbing.
Recognizing the importance of communication with vendors and your own team members.
