Job Description

The Logistics Administrator role involves performing various administrative tasks within the Supply Chain Management function. The candidate will collaborate with internal departments and freight forwarders daily to achieve business objectives, including coordinating goods, preparing shipments, and dispatching sales orders. Responsibilities include liaising with stores, goods-in/out, and logistics administration, planning turbochargers and spares, dealing with freight forwarders, preparing shipments for export, and generating material demands. The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract. The company emphasizes teamwork and continuous improvement.
Must have:
  • Experience in similar administration roles is beneficial.
  • Experience with an ERP system is advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Who will you be working with?

Napier Turbocharger, a Wabtec Company, has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Administrator to join a well-established business that designs, manufactures, and tests industrial turbochargers supplied into the Power Generation, Marine, and Rail Traction industries.

Role: Logistics Administrator

Salary: £Competitive

Location: LN5 7FD, Lincoln

Contract Type: 12-month Fixed Term Contract, Full-Time

Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30am to 15:45pm and 07:30am to 15:15pm on Friday 

How will you make a difference?

The position will involve undertaking a variety of administration activities within the Supply Chain Management function.  Working as part of a successful team, the role requires you to liaise with internal departments and freight forwarders on a daily basis to ensure business objectives are achieved.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Undertake a variety of administration activities within the Supply Chain Management function.
  • Liaise with stores, goods in goods out, logistics administration,
  • Coordination of goods and products coming in and responsible for the distribution of goods internally and then externally.
  • Turbocharger and Spares Planning.
  • Dealing with freight forwarders
  • Preparing shipments for export worldwide
  • Sales Order dispatching.
  • Generation of material demands.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Experience in similar administration roles will be beneficial.
  • Experience with an ERP system and importing/exporting would be advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
