SUMMARY: Provides logistics and customs support for all areas of the Supply Chain including but not limited to import/export, customs compliance, supply chain planning and distribution of products within the Western hemisphere.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Streamlines the flow of materials (customs brokers, distributors, freight forwarders etc.) to Nintendo of America Inc. (NOA) locations while creating, maintaining, and providing proper documentation for Japanese Sarbanes Oxley (JSOX) compliance.

  • Schedules the receipt of international shipments (air, ocean and over the road) with customs brokers (customs clearance), freight companies.

  • Determines and inputs all tariff classifications within internal parts database and ad-hoc requests.

  • Oversees import/export policies to ensure compliance with US and international government rules and regulations and conducts reviews of U.S. Customs entries for accuracy and compliance with federal law and regulations.

  • Monitors and reports on current events or changes to the supply chain, customs laws and regulations.

  • Collaborates in conducting internal review of processes, compilation of broker evaluations, review and updates of procedure manuals.

  • Provides input and recommends changes to training programs for NOA personnel involved in import/export of Nintendo products.

  • Communicates compliance issues to internal departments such as Legal, Finance, and Engineering.

  • Communicates with US Customs and other government agencies such as the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) & Food and Drug Administration with respect to NOA products and development equipment at time of importation.

  • Manages issuance of Carnet’s for trade show and marketing shoots outside of the United States.

  • Acts as liaison between NOA and carriers to identify and resolve carrier service failures.

  • Reviews and approves audit of service provider invoices for accuracy and completeness.

  • Serves as a member of the trade compliance team that supports Customs and Border Protection (CBP) programs such as but not limited to Importer Self-Assessment (ISA) and Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT).

  • Processes international export shipments, creating documents and submitting Electronic Export Information (EEI) to the Automated Export System (AES) for export clearance.

  • Reviews and approves all duty and tax payments for shipments into the US (US Customs) and Canada (Revenue Canada via goods and service tax).

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two to three years of experience with Supply Chain processes, including import/export experience (creation of documentation such as commercial invoice, bill of lading, carnet’s and shipper export declarations).

  • Strong knowledge of harmonized tariff schedule, general notes, and Customs and Border Protection regulations.

  • Proven ability to prioritize and achieve results in a fast-paced customs environment.

  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate effectively with government agencies, service providers, and senior levels of management in a concise manner.

  • Analysis and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make recommendations supported by data.

  • MS office Proficiency (Word, Excel, Power Point).

  • Knowledge of iSeries and Oracle Applications.

  • Requires working knowledge and experience in own job family and broadens capabilities; has worked with and is proficient with current practices and procedures.

  • Requires expanded knowledge in own job family and broadens capabilities.

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and related business experience.

  • US Customs Brokers License.

  • MS office Proficiency (Word, Excel, Power Point).

  • Knowledge of iSeries and Oracle Applications.

This position is hybrid in North Bend, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.

This position includes a base salary range of $67,500 - $108,000 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
