The Logistics Operations Manager manages the overall logistics of one or more categories, owning performance metrics to meet operational needs. Responsibilities include monitoring key metrics, implementing best practices, and reporting progress to senior leaders. The role involves managing suppliers for material movement, benchmarking services against SLAs, and guiding suppliers to improve. Data analysis to identify process inefficiencies and resolution of shipping/warehouse errors are key. Collaboration with internal/external stakeholders ensures efficient product delivery. The manager utilizes analytical and technological skills to develop optimal logistics solutions, builds relationships with cross-functional teams and service providers, and manages critical escalations to minimize customer service impact.

Job Description

  • Manages the overall logistics of one or more categories and owns performance metrics to meet the operational needs of logistics function.
  • Monitors key metrics and implements best practices to ensure that all operational activities adhere to laws, guidelines, and Intel's standard requirements.
  • Reports progress against agreed schedule, scope, cost, and quality constraints to senior leaders on a regular basis.
  • Manages suppliers for the storage or movement of inbound, interplant, and outbound material, equipment, and finished goods.
  • Monitors and benchmarks supplier services against the service level agreement.
  • Guides the suppliers to evolve their service levels in line with Intel requirements.
  • Gathers data on existing processes from partners, stakeholders, customers and analyzes it to discover areas of defects, inefficiencies, or escalations.
  • Tracks and resolves shipping, warehouse, and carrier shipping errors, as well as logistics exceptions.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to assure the most efficient delivery of products to customers.
  • Utilizes analytical and advanced technology skills to develop logistics solutions that drive Intel's business execution optimally.
  • Builds solid relationships with cross functional teams and logistics service providers, ensuring smooth process flow and collaboration.
  • Manages critical escalations arising in the logistics network such that there is minimal impact on customer service.

Qualifications

  • You should possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and/or Management and/or Economy and/or Supply Chain and/or Engineering with at least 10 years experiences in Operations/Logistics/Supply Chain fields. And M.B.A. is preferred.
  • Have fundamental or essential skills on the basic Supplier Management, KPIs Tracking, Logistics Management System, Logistics Operations and Problem Solving, Budgeting, Business and Industry Acumen, Business Data Analytics, Business Performance Management, Cost Reduction Techniques, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Governance and Compliance.

The candidate should demonstrate the following behavioral skills:

Additional qualifications include:

  • Deep hands-on experience in Operations/Supply Chain/Supplier Management/Service Provider performance management
  • Candidates with Logistics Management or Supply Chain related professional certifications will add advantage.
  • People skills and with Situational Leadership practices
  • Basic or intermediate or advanced Project Management skills
  • Prior experience in managing operations and suppliers workforce will add advantage
