As a Machine Learning/Data Engineer, you will design internal tools to empower teams to explore, manipulate, and operationalize data. You will build intuitive interfaces and robust pipelines using Python, Streamlit, and Pandas, with a focus on Large Language Models (LLMs) and ML-powered insights. Your responsibilities include developing internal applications utilizing LLMs, designing data transformation pipelines, and collaborating with ML practitioners. You will also build Streamlit-based tools, partner with data science teams, and maintain technical documentation. This role requires strong Python development experience, proficiency with Pandas and SQL, and familiarity with LLMs and Git-based workflows.
Must have:
  • Strong Python development experience (3+ years)
  • Proficiency with Pandas and NumPy for data manipulation
  • Familiarity with SQL and specifically Postgres
  • Familiarity with LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face) or applied ML pipelines
  • Git-based workflows and collaborative coding habits
Good to have:
  • Experience with MLops or serving ML models (e.g., FastAPI, Docker)
  • Knowledge of data security, bias, and responsible AI practices
  • Understanding of vector databases or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
  • Previous experience in building data tooling for business users

Role Description

As a Machine Learning/Data Engineer (m/f/x) at Innerspace, you strengthen our Data and ML capabilities by designing internal tools that empower teams to explore, manipulate, and operationalize data with efficiency. You will build intuitive interfaces and robust pipelines using Python, Streamlit, and Pandas—with a growing focus on leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and ML-powered insights to enhance decision-making. Your work will directly impact how teams across the company work with a critical business related data.


Requirements

Your Must-haves

  • Strong Python development experience (3+ years)
  • Proficiency with Pandas and NumPy for data manipulation
  • Familiarity with SQL and specifically Postgres
  • Familiarity with LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face) or applied ML pipelines
  • Git-based workflows and collaborative coding habits

Nice to have
  • Experience with MLops or serving ML models (e.g., FastAPI, Docker)
  • Knowledge of data security, bias, and responsible AI practices
  • Understanding of vector databases or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
  • Previous experience in building data tooling for business users


Responsibilities

ML & Data Engineering

  • Develop internal applications that expose or utilize LLMs for automation, data summarization, and internal insights
  • Design data transformation pipelines using Pandas, NumPy, and other ML-prep tools
  • Collaborate with ML practitioners to implement prototype models and workflows

Tooling & Collaboration
  • Build Streamlit-based tools to enable non-technical users to interact with models and structured data
  • Partner with data science and analytics teams to gather requirements and iterate on solutions
  • Maintain technical documentation and manage version control using Git
  • Apply modern DevOps practices to streamline deployment, testing, and automation

  • A minimum gross salary of 70.000 € per year (overpayment possible)
