Job Description

As a Malware Intelligence Analyst at CloudLinux Inc., you will be responsible for analyzing various types of malware targeting web hosting servers and developing product improvements to prevent future infections for their clients. This fully remote role offers flexible hours, allowing you to work from anywhere in the world. You'll work with a growing team to ensure the security and stability of their hosting solutions.
Must have:
  • Excellent knowledge of regular expressions (PCRE)
  • 3+ years of experience working with PHP and JavaScript
  • Experience with web attacks and mitigation methods
  • Understanding of web server software and hosting architectures
  • Web-based malware reverse engineering skills
  • Proficiency in English above intermediate level

Our growing Imunify Security Team is looking for a Malware Intelligence Analyst. You will be responsible for analyzing various types of malware attacking the web hosting servers and creating improvements in our products that will help prevent infections for our clients in the future. The position is fully remote with flexible hours, allowing you to plan your day and work from anywhere in the world. Join us and take your career to the next level!

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should have:

  • Excellent knowledge of regular expressions (PCRE). We expect you to know the difference between \A and ^, why you need to use modifiers (?: ...), and why you should not start regex with \w to find a fragment in a file, etc.
  • 3+ years of experience working with PHP and JavaScript
  • Experience cleaning up websites from malware (big plus)
  • Experience with web attacks (web application and browser security) and their mitigation methods
  • Solid understanding of web server software and hosting systems architectures
  • Web-based malware reverse engineering skills (JS deobfuscation, PHP deobfuscation)
  • Proficiency in English above intermediate level
