Job Description

Mozilla is seeking a data science leader to guide and grow a high-impact team focused on Mozilla’s expanding portfolio of monetized products and services. This role is central to shaping a monetization strategy that aligns with their core values: protecting user privacy, delivering meaningful value to users, and ensuring the long-term financial health of Mozilla. The responsibilities include leading and scaling a data science team, defining a monetization framework, translating data into insights, designing experimentation frameworks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Must Have:
  • 6+ years of data science experience with a focus on monetization

<ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lead and scale a high-performing data science team, driving strategy and execution across monetized features and surfaces.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Balance business goals and user trust by defining a monetization framework that supports privacy and user-first principles.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Translate data into impact through deep analysis, clear insights, and the development of metrics, dashboards, and self-serve reporting tools that enable stakeholders to make informed decisions.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Drive measurement rigor by designing and evolving experimentation and evaluation frameworks for testing and optimizing monetization features.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Advertising teams to define and deliver on our product and monetization roadmap.</span></li> </ul>

<strong>What you’ll bring:</strong>

<ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">6+ years of experience in data science with a strong focus on monetization. Experience in ad tech, programmatic advertising, search and recommendation systems is a strong plus.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">3+ years of experience leading and scaling data science teams.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Deep expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and applied data analytics.
