The Role

The goal of the Director is to support the development of well trained and mentored team members, and provide quality governance and oversight to implementation projects, as well as promote highly satisfied and reference-able customers in the functional area.

Key Responsibilities

    • Responsible for functional consulting and solution quality governance and subject matter expertise on implementation projects in a specific functional area on one or more clients simultaneously.
    • Responsible for the staffing of resources on projects, managing consultant allocations and ensuring contractor delivery quality.
    • Accountable for supporting Account Managers, Delivery Services Directors, Partners and clients for project issues and escalations.
    • Serve as the internal escalation point / design authority for project issues for team members within a specific functional area.
    • Present the product solution to both client executive and user-level audiences within specific functional area.
    • Create, maintain, and educate on best practices for functional area of software.
    • Enhance, publish, and train staff regarding implementation best practices within specific functional area, coordinate with other functional areas.
    • Provide client implementation quality assurance reviews within specific functional area by ensuring alignment with ION best practices and validate that the designed solution will meet the client’s business requirements.
    • Provide support to Services team, by responding to questions from the email distribution groups in specific functional area.
    • Provide support in the design and development of Accelerators within specific functional area.
    • Provide sales/ presales support through estimation, document authoring for RFP/RFI responses, sales proposals, and hands-on demonstrations in specific functional area to meet the client’s desired business requirements.
    • Identify and pursue sales opportunities for additional consulting work at customer sites. Provide information to Manager, Engagement Director, or Account Manager as appropriate.
    • Support training, documentation, and quality assurance teams by providing best practices input in specific functional area as needed.
    • Support product management on new enhancements, as required, while working to help review and prioritize/ advocate enhancement issues on logged items in functional area.
    • Serve as mentor and role model for the consulting staff within a specific functional area.
    • Personnel supervisor for HR issues for team members
    • Coordinate the optimal utilization of resources at a task and personnel level with project manager.
    • Advise the management team of training requirements for consultants within a specific functional area.
    • Coordinate and conduct employee performance appraisals within specific functional area 

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, or a related IT field or equivalent experience in a related field.
    • Proven leadership skills with teams of ten or more professionals
    • 8-10+ years of experience with comprehensive life cycles at ION or other software, consulting, or systems integration firm with delivery responsibility to client organizations
    • 10+ years of relevant Treasury industry experience
    • Advanced understanding of complete software solution with mastery in specific functional area
    • Excellent client-facing/influencing skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to work as part of a project team structure.
    • Ability to work onsite at client locations.
    • Proven mastery of ION Project Implementation Methodology
    • Experience in at least (1) ION Treasury Application
    • Understanding of Cash Management, Treasury Risk and Front Office concepts in Treasury
    • Preferred to have implementation experience in Cash forecasting, Liquidity planning and In-House Banking
    • Preferred to have implementation experience with Bank Statements, and payments.
    • Preferred to have implementation experience with Risk, FX All
    • Implementation experience with Hedge and Accounting a plus
