Location: New York City Area
Status: Freelance (30 hours a week)
Hourly Rate: $45-$75/Hour

Job Summary

Marketing Design Manager will own and manage Winston Retail's marketing content and streamline processes within the organization. The focus will be on elevating the brand and driving innovative marketing strategy.
Responsibilities:
Job Duties
  • Social Media Content Creation:
    • Utilizes programs such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and Gain to create and organize marketing materials including but not limited to:
      • Social media-focused creative: statics, carousels, gifs, graphics for short-form video (video editing experience is a plus)
      • Email blast template design (for MailChimp)
      • Presentation decks and templates
      • Minor graphic design for physical items such as customized product and signage for in-person events, expos, and conferences as needed
    • Works closely with the Creative Studio team, taking the lead on the creative strategy and out-of-the-box concepts and designs during brainstorms
    • Takes the reins on developing mood boards, templates, and creative vision for social media campaigns or launches
    • Other requests by management as needed
  • Social Media Strategy & Management:
    • Partners with the Creative team in the conceptualizing of social media & marketing strategies to meet brand objectives and enhance engagement across multiple platforms
    • Leads the execution of marketing content calendars and providing recommendations on partners, which includes managing posting/scheduling of approved content
  • Results Driven:
    • Oversees the reporting process, using tools like Gain App and social platform analytics to evaluate campaign performance, monitor KPIs, and extract insights for ongoing improvement to shape future initiatives
    • Fosters relationships with our online community and spearheads community management efforts with client social media channels
    • Proactively suggests ideas and pinpoints trends, hashtags, platform updates, and new tools to ensure alignment with our target audience
    • Assesses top competitor digital organic and paid campaigns and reviews findings with Creative Studio team on a quarterly basis
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Professional Experience: 4 to 5 years of experience in creative marketing and campaign development with a focus on digital content
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, marketing, or related field preferred but not required
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; Premiere Pro is a big plus
  • Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) and Canva
  • Proficient knowledge of social media platform specs including Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok and LinkedIn
  • Must have a portfolio showcasing past design work (primarily digital, but physical design a plus)
  • Great time management is a must; individual must take ownership of their schedule and use time and their team wisely to accomplish tasks
  • Management of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Outbound Marketing, and B2B Sales Tools
  • Strategy Implementation: Showcases a track record of effectively crafting and implementing social media strategies that propel audience growth, enhance engagement, and elevate brand recognition
  • Creative & Writing Excellence: Displays creative thinking skills, adept writing skills, and a meticulous eye for detail
  • Analytical Acumen & Algorithm Familiarity: Demonstrates exceptional analytical skills and knowledge about social media algorithms, trends, and best practices across various platforms
  • Reporting Skills: Proficient with tools and services for effective social media reporting
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic workplace, showcasing adaptability and resilience
  • Team player – it is critical for this individual to collaborate with the entire team
Education and Experience
  • 4-5 years in a marketing social media role
  • Strong knowledge of retail or wholesale, preferably in a creative/design environment
  • Experience with process, design, and management capabilities
  • Experience with social platforms
