Job Description

Rebellion seeks a Marketing Manager to lead the go-to-market strategy for its Consumer Products and online store. This highly autonomous role involves owning marketing tools, channel access, campaign planning, and execution. Responsibilities include managing the marketing strategy to maximize opportunities, acting as an evangelist for internal/external stakeholders, managing external agencies, identifying target audiences, creating automated marketing campaigns, tracking marketing activations, generating reports, and handling media buying/management and PR. The ideal candidate has experience in consumer products and e-commerce marketing, a strong background in digital and media campaign execution, and a passion for gaming and entertainment.
Must have:
  • Successful consumer products & ecommerce marketing campaigns experience
  • Strong knowledge of the gaming industry landscape
  • Deep knowledge of competitor web stores and products
  • Digital & media campaign execution expertise
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills

For 30 years we’ve been independently developing and publishing incredible video games at our multiple studios founded by Jason & Chris Kingsley, but Rebellion is more than just games. We have our own film studio, we create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, publish comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd. 

Join our passionate team as a Marketing Manager and play a key role in elevating our Consumer Products and Ecommerce division to the next level!

Embedded within Rebellion’s central Marketing department, you’ll lead the go-to-market strategy for our Consumer Products and online store, working across all titles in our portfolio. This is a highly autonomous role, giving you ownership of marketing tools, channel access, campaign planning and execution.

You’ll drive the growth and management of our ecommerce channels, working closely with teams across the business to deliver impactful, integrated campaigns.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in consumer products and ecommerce marketing, a strong background in digital and media campaign execution, and a genuine interest in the gaming and entertainment sector.

We believe in the power of face-to-face collaboration and encourage working from our Oxford headquarters. However, we understand that flexibility matters, so we’re open to discussing hybrid options based on individual needs. 

Responsibilities

  • Owning and managing the marketing strategy to maximise the opportunities for Rebellion’s consumer products and Rebellion online store, in alignment with company strategic direction and goals. 
  • Being the owner and evangelist for all internal and external marketing stakeholders and being recognised and trusted as an expert in the relevant areas. 
  • Selecting and managing external agencies, including, but not limited to: Media and Digital. 
  • Identifying and becoming the internal expert on the specific target audiences for Rebellion’s consumer products and online store. 
  • Creation and management of automated marketing campaigns, sales tools, pitch decks, and briefing of marketing art and video assets. 
  • Create and manage processes to track each marketing activation via media analytics, making sure our qualitative and quantitative objectives are always met. Generate and present relevant reports to key stakeholders. 
  • Media buying/management for the online store (including but not limited to digital marketing), licensees, Consumer Products and retailers. 
  • PR – Managing trade media, writing press releases, creating store copy, press Q&A’s and any other media interactions.

Requirements

  • Experience of launching successful consumer products and ecommerce marketing campaigns, driving increased awareness and revenue  
  • Tactics to maximise product awareness and sales potential. 
  • Strong knowledge of the current gaming industry landscape. 
  • Deep knowledge of competitor web stores and products. 
  • Previous Product or Marketing experience in the games, entertainment, or associated industries is a bonus.
  • Passionate about all new digital channels, new trends, new rising areas of online opportunity. 
  • Ability to communicate detailed solutions to problems encountered.
