Marketing Project Manager

We’re looking to hire a Marketing Project Manager for a Fortune 500 Pharma client. Team culture is based on open communication, accountability, and collaboration. 
  
Our direct Fortune 500 client is looking for someone to join the Project Management team to lead multiple concurrent digital marketing projects (Salesforce Marketing Cloud) across internal cross-functional and external agency teams. This is a 6 – month contract + extension and possible convert to perm. The team is located in Mettawa, IL, and the role is on-site 3 days/week (Mon-Wed) Remote (Thurs and Fri). Onward Search provides benefits for 40 hour work week and weekly paychecks (W2) for duration of the contract.


Marketing Project Manager Responsibilities: 

• Develops detailed project plans, manages timelines (adjusting as needed), assigns tasks, and facilitates project tracking, monitoring milestones, and deliverables.
• Provides regular project updates and status reports to stakeholders.
• Works closely with cross-functional teams, agencies, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables and a top-notch user experience.
• Manages communication and follow-up to ensure alignment and timely execution.
• Works with agencies and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate data loading into marketing applications.
• Creates and maintains project documentation (plans, timelines, proofing checklists, status reports), ensuring completeness, currency, and proper archiving.
• Proactively manages workload, seeking standardization, automation, and process improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Documents change requests and communicates timeline implications to the team.
• Possesses detailed knowledge of all work in progress and proactively identifies and mitigates risks.
• Proactively analyzes campaign performance, identifies optimization opportunities, and communicates them to the marketing team to meet brand objectives and goals.
• Identifies issues or concerns with cross-functional and agency partners, determines root causes, and recommends corrective actions.

 
Marketing Project Manager Requirements: 

• Bachelors Degree in Business or Marketing or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience of Database Marketing, CRM (Salesforce Marketing Cloud), Email, Digital, Direct Mail, 1:1 marketing experience
• 3+ years of hands-on work experience as a project manager
• Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively work with team members
• Enthusiastic, solution-oriented attitude in accepting work/new challenges
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Smartsheet
• Digital marketing or interactive agency experience is a plus
• Ability to capture business requirements and translate to technical team members for functional requirements
