A solid understanding of how to engage a tech-savvy audience is key.

This role will be responsible for helping to amplify the Thunderbird brand and drive engagement across platforms, working closely with our team of designers, community managers, product managers, and engineers.

The Marketing Specialist is an individual contributor and will report directly to the Manager, Marketing & Communications.

This is a remote, full time position. We require strong written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work coordination across various virtual communication platforms. • Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics to inform strategy and improve ROI.
  • Collaborate with product, community, and design teams to ensure cohesive messaging and brand alignment.
  • Coordinate logistics for virtual and in-person events, including webinars and trade shows.
  • Support the development and formatting of newsletters, including Thunderbird Pro and other product communications.
  • Research industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to inform marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with external agencies, freelancers, and vendors to execute specialized marketing projects
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance marketing efficiency and effectiveness.

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of professional, post-graduate marketing experience across digital, content, social media, and/or PR.
  • Proficiency with marketing tools including email platforms, CRMs, content management systems, and social media schedulers.
  • Strong experience using analytics tools to track performance and optimize campaigns.
  • Ability to write and edit compelling content for blogs, social media, and email campaigns.
  • Experience supporting communication and marketing activities for a global customer base.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving and campaign ideation.
  • Ability to align marketing initiatives with business objectives and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors to execute campaigns.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, small-business environment and taking on diverse marketing responsibilities.
  • Great communication skills and the ability to work with a multi-disciplinary, geographically distributed team.
